Perfect little coffee maker that produces great creama – Makes excellent coffee if you don’t have a coffee machine, and produces a beautiful creama along with a delicious coffee. I had a standard Bialetti… Read more
stove top percolator that I used for years before buying a coffee machine. While my coffee machine was being serviced I wanted a better tasting coffee so researched & bought the Brikka and have been so impressed. Make sure you do your research and read/watch how to use this beaut coffee maker to extract your perfect coffee. Use the measuring cup and use hot water; use correct grind size beans for a stovetop; don’t over or under fill the basket; don’t place on full heat, instead mid-range heat; once coffee starts appearing, reduce heat/remove from heat. It’s not complicated. Note: a 2 cup produces coffee for 1 person; 4 cup produces coffee for 2 people. I’ve tried Nespresso coffee pod machines (and other brands) and with different pods and have always been disappointed. If you want an excellent coffee without the expense of buying a coffee machine, this is your best choice.

Six Tiny Cups – I thought 6 cups as displayed on the Avanti packaging would be perfect for just two people. What a disappointment to find the 6 cup model only makes… Read more
an Australian size cup and a half (cups, not mugs) nowhere near six or even two. Ok, my mistake, Italians drink espresso from tiny espresso cups so outcomes my four espresso cups. Next brew filled three espresso cups only.
The Avanti makes a good cup of coffee but really six cups? If you want to buy one of these bad boys you would have to buy the 9 cup model to get two cups the way Aussies drink our coffee, or alternatively buy six shot glasses. Unfortunately because of the small size this product will rarely be used.
Good coffee but have to rate the Avanti low because of the misleading packaging.

driven by convenience and ease of use, however the temperature of the finished product is poor. My solution, given that I don't like to use the microwave, is to pre heat the milk using the steamer of my Saeco, which at least gives you a drinkable coffee. It's not ideal of course and I've found myself defaulting back to the Brikka

appropriate as the coffee spurts out all over the induction top while brewing. Pretty & useless, so I lost a lot of money & sold it to a collector of moka pots who intends to sit it on a shelf & never use.it.

experience. The avanti I thought to be a more sophisticated looking product gave me consistently bitter coffee. Even though the model was stainless steel it has rusted both inside and out on the bottom component (the water tank). Aluminium cookware has been deemed safe for food use by the Alzheimer's Association. Choose a heavy grade. Avanti = a show pony, looks good, but not so
