Billi Home BA with XL Levered Dispenser
MPN: 914000LCH1 review
Good, but beware the cost of Filters – Purchased this unit in our new home 4 years ago, and we have loved using it. We opted for the boiling-water-only unit, but you can't get it without an ambient water tap, which is useless - it dispenses water at room temperature, not as cold as the mixer tap on the sink. Having a chilled water dispenser on our fridge, we didn't need another chilled water dispenser, and we declined the sparkling water option as the cartridges are apparently hideously expensive, so we use our Soda-Stream. Problem is the cost of the water filters - $174 each and they last us not much more than 12 months. Given that Melbourne has the nicest drinking water in mainland Australia, why am I compelled to fit expensive filters? ...and how much does it cost to make a filter anyway...?....surely not a fraction of $174..!! As if $3,500 isn't enough to pay for the unit, they keep gouging you for filters. This is clearly a major profit centre for Billi - they could easily make an adaptor to bypass the filter, but such a device is not available. Buyer beware.
