This product does not last and breaks at the 6-9mth mark. I bought the cheap version first up, I liked how it left the floor relatively dry. It broke within 6mths, just stopped working. I decided to upgrade and bought $289 one and was happy with the… Read more
performance. However, something that only lasts 9 months that I use once week is a terrible appliance.
Follow-up · No i didn't try for a warranty. The steamer stops working. The upgrade seemed much better and cleaned really well. For using a mop once a week and lasting only 6 months is a rip off.
Absolute garbage – Couldn’t lift a mark or stain on tiles no matter how hard you tried. Fell apart after 6 or 7 uses. Show details
B and D steam mop – I used this mop for the first time today. I've had it since 2019 but never bothered to use it. I really really like it and am kicking myself that I didn't use it earlier. I cleaned the shower and it came up great. I then mopped my tiled floor and same result. Brilliant! 1 2 tanks of water. Floor was dry quickly. Pad was fairly clean after using. Cord length is sufficient. Show details
Wow, I don’t know how it took me so long to find this – So easy to use, steam starts within 1 minute and away you go. Dries fast only negative is that there is no bottom hinge to wrap the cord around. Love it
Disappointing – Bought a Black and Decker steam mop. Thought it would make cleaning floors easier, but found it soaks the floors, takes ages to dry and leaves smears everywhere. Only had it one week, used it once returning it back to the shop I bought it from today. Show details
Only 6 months old and returning it to supplier – Black & Decker have been around for a lot of years and, I thought I'd go with a reputable manufacturer, that's why I bought this steam mop, but unfortunately it has failed, it doesn't steam any more and it leaves a trail of water all over the tiles. I also found the chord isn't long enough and having to keep stopping and changing to another power… Read more
point a real pain. But even when it was working would leave the tiles wet. The pads are easy enough to change. After only 6 months, it has failed, I would have only used this about 6 -7 times. Not happy. Last time I buy anything B & D.
A good cleaner – A good steam cleaner but has a problem "where can you get the replacement mops " part number 90590822 or the plain mop head replacement as well. I tried B&D nowhere to order one on their site and have tried the place that sells them "bunnings " no help. Show details
POS! $300 Chinese made junk – Lasted 12mths. Roughly worked for 12 hrs total then made a big hissing sound and now is just more junk for the hard rubbish recycler. Back to the wring and mop. The only really good feature of the item was the grout cleaning brush. Though after doing a floor and bathroom with it once the bristles on the head were ruined. If I could give it a quarter of a star I would. AVOID THESE THINGS. Show details
Awesome – This versatile steamer has the lot. Bought initially for my slate floors, beautiful finish, then off to the bathroom where the grout and tiles came up brilliantly. Also windows and the surrounding tracks came up a treat. BUT, the absolute best result was on the oven. Had tried to clean twice using those toxic chemicals, ended up with burns… Read more
on my arm, but, after using the steamer on the oven all the hard baked on grease came off soooo easily and now looks like a new oven! Often walk passed and open the door just to marvel at the result.
Water in the tank lasts a long time.
Floor is left dry after cleaning
Only replace pads after 1 cleaning of the floor - 2 large rooms and hallway
Cord length sufficient.
My Mum was so impressed she has bought one as well.
Well done on a fabulous device.
Two faulty mops – We purchased our First one two weeks ago and once we put it together the handle wouldn't work. We have been unable to select a mode or hit the steam button. we returned and got sent a new only to find the same problem. We have connected all parts correctly and the handle is locked in but it doesn't do anything!!! Very annoyed and what terrible… Read more
manuals they put together with no troubleshoot.
Not to mention the difficulty it is to unlock the handle from the body.
Will not buy another b+d product again!!!
Best on the market – Really happy with our Black and Decker steam mop.We have 4 bedroom home which is mainly tiled and even on the top setting (slate floors) we still only go through 1 tank of water for the whole house. The pads are esay to come by, you can even by generic ones from some vacuum shops. Its lightweight and I find it does a great job getting in and under furniture. Show details
First steam mop purchase and I think it gets the job done – Our home is mostly carpet, so we don't have many areas that requires it. Had it for 10 months and haven't needed to replace the pads yet also it still works great. The steam buster is fantastic on grout, not so much windows and showers. If there's one thing to complain about, it's the stability of swivel head. Sometimes when it's "self standing"… Read more · 1
it falls over because the weight of the whole steam mop is causing it to push forward. Also if you're trying to reach tight spaces, the bulkiness of the Steam-buster attachment can be an issue.
Product Sucks! – Just purchased the B and D steam mop and the first few minutes of using it was ok but suddenly the mop stopped steaming and started making some sounds, after a few minutes the steam went on again and everything was okey, The Next day our house cleaner was using it when the steam again stopped and until now as I am writing this review it has not… Read more
worked. problem is the cleaner threw away the box and I would now have no way of returning the item for replacement or refund

Know better, choose better.
It is okay – At first I was very disappointed. I had decided to purchase a steam mop because I wanted dry floors really quickly. My tiles seem to show every mark especially if someone has stepped in it after mopping normally. But the first black & decker I got took 15 -20 mins to dry. I was really upset because it isn't a cheap product and it does say on the… Read more
packaging that it takes seconds to dry. So, I took it back and they offered to exchange. I was a bit reluctant. But I thought I would try again. The second one does dry better, it takes about 5 minutes now to dry. Still not the seconds they advertise on it but better than 15 mins! I still have to put a bit of grunt into mopping to get the marks off. But I have a toddler who throws food and thus the reason why I need to mop a lot. I like the 2 in 1 feature which is why I purchased it. But overall, i wasn't wowed by it. It has about 15-20 mins steam time and not a very long cord. So I added an extension cord on it. Overall, its ok.
A must have – i love my steam mop. It is easy to use, lightweight and glides over the floor with little effort. It is easy to set up and put away once finished. It cleans the floor superbly and dries very quickly with no smares left behind. It is just as easy to get out of the cupboard for small spills as well as a major spring clean. I wish I had one of… Read more
these years ago. easy to use and does a great job would like to be able to use the hand held section without having to hold the steam button in.
