Update of previous review
After a few weeks, the good wi-fi reception, the inbuilt rechargeable battery and the compact size of this radio remain strong features for me. The response to the controls however can be erratic. e.g. Sometimes the volume control will not function properly. Switching from internet to DAB+ will not take one back to the DAB+ station last listened. The changeover to battery power when external power is disconnected is not seamless: the radio switches off and has to be restarted. These seem to be programming errors in the module design. With these shortcomings I feel I should re-rate it to four stars. The stated power requirement is 1.0 amp, but extra is advisable to avoid charger overload on start-up.
Purchased in May 2020.
Questions & Answers
I just bought a Blaupunkt BR-90DABi radio and wanted to set it up. Unfortunately the message 'Network Disconnected' keeps coming up. What can I do?
I assume you have access to a WiFi network (modem/router) and it has a working connection to the internet. You need to know the name of your network so you can recognise and select it on the radio - there may be other WiFis in your area that you can see but cannot use. You also need the password or network key of your WiFi, which you can usually find on the modem-router itself. You can then follow the Getting Started instructions from page 8 of the radio Instruction Manual. If you do not have the printed manual on hand you can find it under the Download tab at https://www.blaupunkt.com/au/nc/products/audio-visual/radios/products/single/20074/ Good luck!

My radio has lost all power after 2 days use. Have tried different powerpoints and chargers still got nothing!! Not happy.
Reliability may be an issue with this radio. Mine is still working but response to the controls can be erratic at times, probably because of programming errors in the main module. Also the changeover to battery power if the external power is disconnected is not seamless - it switches the radio off. and a restart is needed. I am about to give a review update, downgrading it to four stars because of that.
On your loss of power after two days, I assume that it is not responding even when the external power is disconnected, i.e. no battery power available either. Perhaps the radio was running just on the inbuilt battery from new and the charging has not been working. The mini-USB power input connection, not the most reliable design, may not be making good contact. I would suggest making sure the cord is plugged securely into the radio, leave it on charge overnight, and try again. Some radios won't boot if the battery is completely flat.
Also, make sure your charger is able to deliver at least the specified 1 amp, preferably more, not just the 500mA that mobile phones need, otherwise its overload cutout may keep tripping. I had that trouble even with small charger that claimed 1 amp output.
If it still does not respond you may need to return it. Annoying!
Hi Freckles, contact the Australian Distributor https://www.ayonz.com/support to get assistance. Just also check the USB Charger you are using as the 1 AMP minimum requirement.
