Poor lid design - made of poor quality plastic - keeps splitting – Bought it after reading so many positive reviews but I'm at my wits end with it. least one to two replacement lids a year into the total cost. We find it really hard to get on and off which discourages my housemates from using it. Eventually the split it gets to the point where oxygen and fruit flies are getting into the unit which defeats the whole point of indoor composting. If only they had a better lid system with a seal that is easier to open and close it would be an ideal product.

Over the moon! – I was hesitant with buying this bucket due to the price point however after researching other Bokashi bins, I decided this was worth a try. Awesome system! – Has reduced our general waste, easy to use, fits a fair bit and is great to use in my hot compost. I found it best to have 2 buckets, fill one up and while it processes I use the second. Great composting solution that keeps the flies away – Although it has only been a month or so since purchased, very happy with the convenience and sealed environment of the Bokashi. I love the convenience of the tap at the bottom. Only thoughts are that for a family you need more than just two to properly follow the recommended timelines.

appreciate that everything can be composted, resulting in significant waste reduction as a result of composting to feed the soil. I also purchased an Ensopet composter which is working well too to convert pet waste to soil fodder. Best bokashi System! No rotting smells here! – You mash down the food waste to compact it and sprinkle the mix in every layer. It produces compost juice which you can use for a liquid fertiliser. The bin is air tight and smells kind of sweet, no rotting smells here!
