Bosch 90 cm Induction Cooktop

Touch control fail – Our touch control buttons started failing shortly after the warranty period was over, annoying but it just meant we couldn't select certain heat settings. Now a year or so later the on / off button has lost its sensitivity and failed too, so unable to use it at all. I would have hoped for this sort of cost we could have expected this cooktop to last a bit longer than this. We contacted Bosch to organise a repair but not hearing anything after a few days we called back only to be told there were no repair technicians in our area (Tasmania). It would have been nice to have been told that straight away. Currently trying to organise repair, and after a bit of reading it would seem we aren't alone with this failing touch control board.

Was amazing until – Purchased cooktop in 2017 and wasn’t installed until 2018. Hasn’t missed a beat until the electronic control panel started playing up and now control number 4 and 0 no longer work. Apparently this is a common fault. Disappointing When you pay over $3000 for a cooktop you don’t even get 2 years out of

Great while it worked – Loved my induction but in the last 6mths its not working properly. I had a tradesman look at and said it would cost $2000 to fix. I payed that much for it 3years ago. When it worked it was great l loved it. Now I have to buy another one

Love it! – I’ve had this cooktop for a month and love it. I switched from gas and did lots of homework on the size and brand of cooktop. The Pros: I went with this one because of the flexzones and the metal strip on the side to protect the ceramic top. I wasn't able to try the heat dials etc in any store and so was concerned about the size of the numbers etc but the risk paid off. It is easy to turn the heat up and down on each zone, easy to read, intuitive to set timers etc. I love the flexibility the timers bring – I can start a meal and put the timer on and then do something outside the kitchen – something I would never do with gas. The Cons: I took one star off because the flex induction zone when used as a single zone seems to not heat evenly so one part of the meal cooks faster - this doesn't happen in the central zone. There is quite a bit of heat under the cooktop in the drawer underneath. I also seem to be cooking at much higher levels than I thought I would (7-9) and more than the user guide suggests - weather this is my pans, my experience or the cooktop I'm not sure - its not an issue - its just using more power and not aligned with the user manual. Overall I'm very happy with this product.
