now have the expense of repairing it. We are about to build a new place and I have learnt to avoid Bosch as it not worth the danger of fire and shattered glass.

not working from new – Purchased this product a few months ago and only just had it installed in my brand new kitchen. Massive let down as all the cooking modes don't work and showing error message after running for a short time on all modes. Contacted bosch customer care and was refered to local service agent. Now i have a one week wait for them to call out. Not the best experience so far.

Dangerous and unreliable – Our Bosch combo has been repaired by ABCO ( recommended by Bosch) 4 times in 6 months. It is 6 yrs old. Then the glass shattered. unsatisfactory. Their ovens are rubbish and don't last the years they claim them too. Good luck trying to get anyone from Bosch to listen to you.

Don't buy Bosch – We bought this model for it's versatility, and given it's high price...almost $3000 , expected a premium product that was durable. Bosch has refuse to accept any responsibility, blaming us for misuse.

We had a thermostat replaced in the matching pyrolytic last year, luckily under warranty.

Not good enough.

Bosch has now 'closed the matter' and I am left to try and fight this huge corporation for a fair deal.

Please share this experience with your friends. I am very angry I have spent my hard earned cash on this useless, and potentially dangerous product.

Don't buy Bosch.

Poor product and after sales service

Very sad – Bought this along with top of the range oven,heating indicator light is completely off( Same as oven) tells you it has reached temperature when it's 30 degrees below. Bad show for something so expensive. No joy from service as they say this is normal does steam up quite a bit as said in previous comment. Look good. Matches oven perfectly. Great option as a second oven and Microwave – I wanted a double oven but Bosch option was too small. Went for 2 separate ovens. This one was a combination oven/Microwave. Second oven is pyrolitic one. I am happy with the capacity, performance and flexibility of this oven. You could easly use as your only oven if you don't cook too much. the capacity, performance and flexibility of this oven. Only negative is microwave seems to allow a build up of moisture in the oven. We end up leaving the door open for a minute or two to clear the steam out of the cavity. Price was a bit high but worth it for flexibility.

Great combo oven + microwave, saves a lot of space in the kitchen. Much cheaper when ordering in EU – We were looking for a combination of oven and microwave for our new kitchen. Simply because you never need both at the same time, standalone microwaves just waste a lot of space on the benchtop, and built-in microwaves always look horrible. in a couple of shops, but they all told us that this didn't exist. We finally found this model on the website of Bing Lee (http://www.binglee.com.au/bosch-hbc84k553a-60cm-built-in-gourmet-oven/), but were very disappointed with the cost ($3,228!!). We also learned that not everything is negotiable at Bing Lee: they couldn't give us a better price for this oven, since they don't hold stock of it!

In the end we ordered this oven from overseas, and couldn't believe the price difference. This exact same oven is available in Europe (as HBC84K533) for less than 1000 euro!! We ordered the oven through OzImport (http://www.ozimport.com.au/hbc84k553.html), which is specialized in shipping appliances from Europe to Australia. The price listed on their website included all import taxes and gst, while all Bosch appliances come with 2 year international warranty, and they also offer free express shipping to Australia! The oven was shipped through UPS, and we got a tracking number. It arrived about 2 weeks after ordering it, no trouble at all!

Best of all: we ended up paying only $1,737 all inclusive, that is half price compared to Bing Lee!! We happily spent the $1500 we saved on a CeaserStone benchtop for our kitchen! :-D

I can highly recommend this oven to anyone!

You can really see that it is a quality product, and it looks great! Best of all, it saves a lot of space in the kitchen, as you no longer need a separate oven and microwave :-). Combines oven and microwave, looks good, high quality product, much cheaper when ordering in Europe. Very expensive in Australia, but can be easily ordered from overseas.
