frozen ice - Vegetable crisper hard to remove (to clean) and even harder to re-insert. Would be easier if doors opened wider than they do. - Butter and cheese compartment door swings open even time the fridge is opened, and contents fall out. - Operating noises are exceedingly LOUD; far worse than all the other fridges we have owned. - Outside is hard to clean, white marks keep appearing on the steel exterior.
Beeps continuously and noisy – This is a shocking appliance. Not surprising Choice rates as the worst fridge on the market. The alarms keep going off especially if the outside temp goes above 21c. Unable to use in humid climate – We purchased this fridge in 2021 from Appliances Online (LOVE THEM! this review does not reflect any problems with their customer service). another humidity surge, same problem. This time Bosch gave us a complete replacement. Recently, same problem, humidity surge and the panel faulted. This time we got a new door! My diagnosis is that during humidity, the panel expands and/or water gets into the front panel and shorts. There is no way to prevent it. Terrible design. Oh, and also it is loud loud loud. Love my other made in Germany Bosch appliances. Would never buy a Bosch made in China again.

Really Loving This Fridge and It's Huge Capacity – We have had this fridge for four months now and are really pleased with our purchase. makes gentle gurgling noises. The only design flaw is that one of the shelves is shortened due to a door shelf protrusion, so the door won't close if there are goods right at the front of the shelf. This was annoying until I put some sticky tape at the shelf's limit to remind me not to put things beyond the line. It's definitely not a deal-breaker as there is so much room in the rest of the appliance. There are two humidity controlled draws for veggies and fruit, but we do miss the dairy draw in our old fridge, so had to buy a separate box from KMart for our cheeses. Internal temperature seems very even and there is an LED indicator in the door to show the temperature. Absolutely loving the huge freezer with its capacious shelves and the two separate, deep draws. There is an internal manual ice tray and draw, but the cubes it produces are tiny; it would have been great to have larger ice cubes. SUMMARY: a great fridge for a large family, or a cook that likes to freeze dishes, with only a couple of minor flaws. Fingers crossed it goes the distance!

little bit Noisy. Inelegant bottom draw design damaged seals.
Concern: Self diagnosis feature couldn’t self diagnose why it suddenly ceased its primary function.
Opinion: Did the job; but in hindsight probably overpriced for its features and longevity.
Wrap-up: I know I probably could’ve had the unit repaired but my experience with modern appliances is that anything major will go wrong in the first 2 years under warranty. Minor niggles will start later. After 10 years it’s a dubious prospect - $10 thermostat? $500 control board? Take your pick. I picked another, new, cheaper, replacement and this one went to white (silver) goods heaven.
I absolutely love them – The fridge is easy to find things and keep the shelves clean. The temperature is constant and nice and cold. soon as you close it, therefore opening again straight away is no problem. The outside of both the fridge and freezer is easy to keep clean and doesn't show fingerprints. After doing a lot of research, I'm so pleased we decided on the Bosch.
I am with Vincent too - Control panel fail – After reading the previous reviews, it seems to me that there must be known fault in the control panel. After 3 years, my control panel beeped at random intervals and at any time of the day and night, waking us up. Thankfully, Bosch did fix the problem and did it under warranty, even though the 2 years had passed which I am happy with. European product reputation finally broken – After 4 years the digital panel started making peeping noise that kept waking us up every night. absolutely a lot better quality! We have ever needed repairs with any other brands of fridges until we had this time with Bosch fridges! We thought we had bought an even better product than the Asian made as this name of Bosch seemed to be bigger in Australia but disappointment have followed unfortunately! Not just the Fridge is a Lemon, but so is the Customer Service or lack of it – My parents, in their 80's, purchased their Bosch Side by Side fridge, with hard earned money, just over 18 months ago. Still under warrantee when it stopped cooling and freezing. Reported to Bosch, tech sent out, could not be fixed, replacement needed. Reasons: 1. Not ONE call returned or initiated by Bosch Customer service. 2.No ownership by Bosch. 3. No follow up by Bosch. 4. Use of a subcontractor for delivery, who then sub contacts out again to another transport company. Replacement still not delivered. Bosch customer service should be doing ALL the monitoring, follow up and calls, not wipe their hands of it and put the onus on my parents to make all the calls o them and delivery companies. My parents are pensioners and have had to hire a freezer and fridge (on a weekly basis) could have got a better rate on monthly if they knew how hard it would be for Bosch to deliver a replacement fridge. Food spoilage and waste costs. No empathy, no offers, no accountability. I am furious with Bosch on the anxiety, stress and upset they have caused and are still causing my parents. I will be visiting every review site I can find to download negative reviews on Bosch products and Customer Service.
Great fridge with a nice clean design inside and out – We bought this to replace a short lived Australian brand product. To soon to tell if this one will go the distance but so far we do love the brighter and more open interior, which seems both wider and deeper than the similar sized fridge it replaced. allowed us to adapt when entertaining. Two years into our purchase we couldn't fault the product and its effectiveness in our house. Unfortunately, right on the two year mark we started to have complications. We rang Bosch only to find out that it would cost $360 before a part was even ordered. The part cost and labour would be more once the problem was ascertained. Now if the fridge was 5-10 years old i'd have no problem with that. Two years however is another story. We lost a fortune in meat due to the fault and are now in the market for a new fridge - one that certainly won't be a Bosch. My advice? Steer clear.

negative press) which made me have initial hesitations about purchasing this model. Also not a single appliance store has the Bosch unit on display, although they will order them in. I ordered from an online site and had it delivered the next business day (from Sydney to Canberra).
The freezer is huge! This saved us from having a separate chest freezer in the house. The ice box is awesome! The fridge has heaps of space!
The whole unit is quiet when operating and offered a touch control panel on the front to change the internal temperature. I have spot checked with a laser thermometer and found it to be consistent in both the fridge and freezer in all shelves.
Don't purchase, not fit for purpose – The fridge is a Bosch FD 9207 stainless steel look finish, the paint subsequently peeled of the door when wiping condensation off. No help from Bosch NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Show details
It’s been 7 yrs. it’s stoll going good – It’s been 7 years and still going good. Although it’s loud at night time and the older it’s getting the louder it’s getting. Bosch fridge fits perfectly – As its just new, the fridge is working wonderfully. Its very quiet plus the LED internal lights makes it easy to see through out the fridge. my only concern is that I find it difficult to pull out fully the freezer draws and vegetable draws at the bottom of fridge.
