My dog food spilt inside and smells like crap!! – I dropped my epic dog roll and the package split and my fridge smells like my grandmothers bathroom! Its absolutely revolving! Why doesn't LG Install anti-smell! Will not be buying again will switch back to my old Beijing L500 2900L fridge. I love a good Beijing fridge! Freezer can't maintain low temperature. Fruit &Veg don't last – After about 2 years freezer was unable to keep ice, icecream from melting. Frozen food became soft. gas leak and so not Concierge's responsibility. It was not a gas leak according to technician and also my observations as the problem didn't get worse over 6 months and actually improved during bout of cool weather. I don't think this fridge can handle warmer climates!! Another problem has been the ineffective fruit and vegetable 'crispers'. F&V(especially carrots) go limp and rot quickly.

Nice fridge – Wanted stainless steel so was limited as black is very dominant at the moment in stores. Happy with features and space. Has non plumbed water na sauce dispenser. weeks to get back to me and are adamant it’s happened during delivery however damage was under box, styrofoam, plastic wrap.

Only down sides (if I’m really being picky) - has one less shelf and one less door side compartment than previous older models which is a shame - the handle on the pull out crisper at the bottom of the fridge is positioned at the bottom of the crisper compartment which means you have to bend all the way over to open the compartment (compared to the convenience of having the handle at the top of the crisper in the previous older model) - has some plastic internal supports for the shelves in the fridge and freezer that protrude at the back of the fridge/freezer so at times won’t allow a large item to fit neatly right at the back. (The previous model was great in that these plastic internal supports were simply positioned underneath the shelves which didn’t affect any storage on top of the shelves)... having said that, we have still made this work.
Fridge Fire – Fridge ran so hot it started to melt, freezer was hot and smelt. Still no result from LG, this product is dangerous, they want to repair, but will this happen again! In USA they were involved in a lawsuit over these, but happening here as well. Replacement or Money back. Show details

Fridge section fine freezer cannot keep set Temperature – Bought late January 2019. Noticed frost on freezer after 4 days so got a wireless thermometer to monitor the freezer temperature. I have it set at -18C but it cycles 3 days -20--17C and 16 hours -24 to -32.6C. Monitored for another week and recalled LG. Noted the temperature cycles down to the low readings after a defrost cycle. Tech came and said need to replace fridge. This was done with a few scrapes on the house delivering it but new fridge if anything is worse.
Cycle over past 3 weeks is as follows 3 days normal/16hrs down/3 days normal/16hrs down /3 days normal /16hrs down /28hrs normal/16hrs down/32hrs normal /16hrs down /40 hrs normal and it continues to today. Ice cream is like concrete cannot spoon it out when at -26C. Issue is with LG I told them to grab 1 and monitor the temperatures in the freezer over a period, The fridge temp is spot on. Surprised 2 fridges 1 with most of the control parts replaced both same issue. Strange no-one else noticed it.
Oh my thermometer tested against tech's one and agrees. LG has been helpful but things dragging though they keep messaging me that they they still looking into issue. Another 3 mths on still no comment re if they have tested any fridges and reproduced the issue, Really getting poorer support by the day.

life spans, durability and are user friendly. We purchased the fridge from good guys for just $1495 (minus extended warranty). Having not bought a fridge for almost 10 years, we were a little out of our league with all the technology and added extras that fridges now have (who even needs wifi & a TV on their fridge??), and were shopping for something with a good energy rating, long warranty and good size, and this fridge ticks all of the boxes. The fridge is super quiet, and also has fingerprint reduction stainless steel (great for those with sticky fingers and little ones). 687L of space, salad & veg drawers in fridge with 5 shelfs and door shelves. meat & fish drawers, plus 4 shelves in the freezer, ice tray/ice drawer, as well as 4 standard shelves. Inside, there's quite a lot of space and different compartments including a moist crisp balancer for fruits and veg, side compartments for dairy and a very big bottom side compartment to put all your big cartons of milk, juice, soft drink, cordial or even wine - this is one of my favourite parts of the fridge as my previous fridge's bottom side compartments were so small and got filled up so easily.
The freezer has an ice maker on the inside which does what its supposed to do - nothing too flashy. It's also got a good amount of space and two big pull out drawers perfect for stashing away meat or frozen goodies like chicken nuggets or crumbed fish. I've found the distribution of cold air to be really good in both freezer and fridge and am seeing less 'freezer burn' in my frozen products compared to the previous fridge we had. Overall, a great fridge for a great price!

hope that more recent models would have a feature that disables the very annoying chime that goes off when ever the fridge decides that you have had it open longer than it wants. It is not a pleasant chime , it is a very annoying chime. ( maybe a child would find it amusing ) Don't you just love it when the refrigerator starts telling you what to do . Stay away from LG Products – 6months ago purchased fridge/ freezer combo. Within 2 weeks of purchase complained of soggy limp rotting vegetables, cheeses going mouldy and water icicles on frozen foods. Said nothing wrong with it. I have been fighting with LG for 6 months now. Harvey Norman are taking it away at their cost and will take it up with LG. The latest was it needed a part but would take a number of weeks to get here as it is not even in the country!!

A little flimsy – I purchased this fridge. The fan froze over within the first six months but otherwise operates fine. The stainless stell shell dents extremely easily. I also noticed this on the display in the store, but thought it was customer abuse. it is not. Also the plastic freezer drawer has cracked without being treated harshly. Great value for money – This is my second LG fridge, which was purchased about a year ago. No issues at all, excellent temperature control, LED lights, express freeze, WiFi, no ice and no maintenance required. What else do you need from a fridge? bottle storage rack which is apparently optional but a retrofit does not appear to be possible. Needed to purchase a side by side door type due to small amount kitchen space in front of the unit. So, that ruled out single door and French freezer types. That said, the door arrangement is superior to the side by side Maytag this fridge replaced. Am not tempted to connect to LG support via the Wi-Fi capability. The process looks too complex - to be performed as a last resort.
Very good – I purchased this fridge last year and it is awesome! It maintains a good temperature throughout and has very good storage for both freezer and fridge. Useless vegetable drawers – The vegetable and fruit drawers are a waste of space. Mushrooms dry out completely in 3 days, absolutely useless for fruit and vegetables. Celery limp, carrots dry out. Too much airflow in the drawers, no regulator. I wish I had never bought it. LG ignore all my correspondence. They are probably hope I will get tired of writing. Show details
Excellent fridge – Very good fridge, designs good, easy access to the compartments, has even wifi connection even though I am not sure the main purpose. Very stylish and the door handles built into the fridge therefore getting through doors is a breeze. We have been using this for couple of weeks now and very happy with the product. Working well – Replaced an upside down fridge with this LG really liking the side by side. Plenty of room for freezer & fridge products, easy to access, keeps veg & friut fresh. I have see frost building in my freezer which I escalated to LG support. Technician is due to visit and fix that. Not entirely happy with this unit. It could be faulty unit but I purchased it after reading so many good reviews here.
If I get second chance I will buy westinghouse or Hisense next time.
Great fridge – Nice and quiet is really cold and always keeps cold, its super easy to clean the shelves and temperatures are always consistent.
