Nice fridge
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680PL (Stainless Steel)Wanted stainless steel so was limited as black is very dominant at the moment in stores. Happy with features and space. Has non plumbed water na sauce dispenser. Only issue so far is that I’ve had two in three weeks as both have come damaged. Store have offered replacement but reluctant to try a third time. Lg customer service terrible- took four weeks to get back to me and are adamant it’s happened during delivery however damage was under box, styrofoam, plastic wrap.

My dog food spilt inside and smells like crap!!
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680PL (Stainless Steel)I dropped my epic dog roll and the package split and my fridge smells like my grandmothers bathroom! Its absolutely revolving! Why doesn't LG Install anti-smell! Will not be buying again will switch back to my old Beijing L500 2900L fridge. I love a good Beijing fridge! Because it releases so many toxins that my entire house smells like air wick when i open the door!

Freezer can't maintain low temperature. Fruit &Veg don't last.
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680WL (White)After about 2 years freezer was unable to keep ice, icecream from melting. Frozen food became soft. Concierge kept sending technician who admitted from the onset he couldn't see what problem was. he tried a new compressor and re-gassed it without success. After many months of stressful dealings with Concierge they said the problem was an internal gas leak and so not Concierge's responsibility. It was not a gas leak according to technician and also my observations as the problem didn't get worse over 6 months and actually improved during bout of cool weather. I don't think this fridge can handle warmer climates!! Another problem has been the ineffective fruit and vegetable 'crispers'. F&V(especially carrots) go limp and rot quickly.

Perfect fridge apart from the door handles
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680WL (White)Works great. Keeps temperature perfect. Bought it in April 2019 and has started to make some funky sounds (not loud though). ONLY main gripe is design of the handles. Hard to open for someone with Arthritis. So although the sales person in store said it was only hard to open as it was a “new” fridge, we’ve had to stick pull handles on the front which takes away from the appearance. If I were to purchase a fridge today I would consider it but would choose another just due to the handle design. But all aside I would still recommend.

Perfect Fridge
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680PL (Stainless Steel)This fridge is the best! Unlike a previous fridge I had, I've got no issues with the temperature for fridge and freezer. The design looks sleek and it's easy to clean with just a wipe down. A great fridge, especially if an ice dispenser isn't essential for you. It's got an in-built ice maker in the freezer anyway. Heaps of space within the fridge and freezer and the best part is that it's so silent! No annoying running noise, which I encountered with a previous fridge I had. Overall, a great price, especially if you can get it on sale/promotion.

Still no result from LG, this product is dangerous, they want to repair, but will this happen again! In USA they were involved in a lawsuit over these, but happening here as well. Replacement or Money back.

three years and the chime still drives me crazy
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680PL (Stainless Steel)I have now had this fridge for three years and it has performed pretty well all this time but a few
things are a bit annoying.
The outside of the fridge appears to dent easily, its very thin.
This may be a way of keeping manufacturing cost down, but be aware of this.
It is still quiet and energy efficient and I have no problems with it.
I would hope that more recent models would have a feature that disables the very annoying chime that goes off when ever the fridge decides that you have had it open longer than it wants.
It is not a pleasant

Works well, keeps veggies for 4-5 days despite other reviews. Looks smart with stylish curves. Low point is its highly over engineered yet useless ice maker. Otherwise happy with the purchase.

Stay away from LG Products
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680WL (White)6months ago purchased fridge/ freezer combo. Within 2 weeks of purchase complained of soggy limp rotting vegetables, cheeses going mouldy and water icicles on frozen foods. Said nothing wrong with it. I have been fighting with LG for 6 months now. Harvey Norman are taking it away at their cost and will take it up with LG. The latest was it needed a part but would take a number of weeks to get here as it is not even in the country!!

Fridge section fine freezer cannot keep set Temperature
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680WL (White)Bought late January 2019. Noticed frost on freezer after 4 days so got a wireless thermometer to monitor the freezer temperature. I have it set at -18C but it cycles 3 days -20--17C and 16 hours -24 to -32.6C. Called LG tech visited when temperature was -26C and said there is an issue with the fridge so he ordered and replaced the computer and temperature sensor. No change to issue.
Monitored for another week and recalled LG. Noted the temperature cycles down to the low readings after a defrost cycle. Tech came and said need to replace fridge.
... Read more This was done with a few scrapes on the house delivering it but new fridge if anything is worse. Cycle over past 3 weeks is as follows 3 days normal/16hrs down/3 days normal/16hrs down /3 days normal /16hrs down /28hrs normal/16hrs down/32hrs normal /16hrs down /40 hrs normal and it continues to today. Ice cream is like concrete cannot spoon it out when at -26C. Issue is with LG I told them to grab 1 and monitor the temperatures in the freezer over a period, The fridge temp is spot on. Surprised 2 fridges 1 with most of the control parts replaced both same issue. Strange no-one else noticed it. Oh my thermometer tested against tech's one and agrees. LG has been helpful but things dragging though they keep messaging me that they they still looking into issue. Another 3 mths on still no comment re if they have tested any fridges and reproduced the issue, Really getting poorer support by the day.Purchased in at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $1,089.

Really enjoying my fridge
687L Side by Side Door GS-B680PL (Stainless Steel)We bought this fridge about a month ago, and i'm loving it, its very spacious for the family of 4, very quiet, the door shelves are wide (you don't know how convenient it is until you use it) and sturdy, overall rather impressed by it.

Hi, I'm not sure if I have an issue or if it was a once off and now I'm scared of losing all the food in my freezer but last week it was like it over froze everything. I turned it off, gave the back a good clean and it's been OK since however I'm noticing when I close the door the temperature stays on display a lot longer than it used to and i have been noticing a lot more noises from it lately but i could just be paying more attention. So that combined with the over freezing, could there be something potentially wrong? Is there something specific I should look at please
