Put simply I dislike this product. This cooktop is relatively new and is driving me crazy. The fingerpoint touch controllers do not tolerate wet fingers so one must dry hands constantly to use. In addition if a spill of any sort is anywhere near it it will turn itself off. When you are in a hurry to turn off say a sauce or turn it down the controller is not quick you have to press hard for it to react. Also if you rest anything on the glass it will beep - it’s a super bad design.

Bosch cooktop but no Schott Ceran glass as advertised? – Omega cooktop we are replacing is 12 years old and has Schott Ceran glass top. Based on longevity and durability of glass top, we were certain to have Schott Ceran again. After much deliberation we purchased the Bosch PUE611BB5E /43 on 18/7/24 from Joyce Mayne Maroochydore as Bosch is a reputable, reliable brand and has the tried and tested Schott Ceran glass top. Prior to installation that same day, to my horror, I noticed the glass top does not have the Schott Ceran branding. I immediately contacted Joyce Mayne to confirm the display model I viewed less than 1hour prior had Schott Ceran glass, and that the item I was sold is not the same.. I was given 2 options by their Appliances Manager; Return to store for refund, or, Swap for their display model which has been in store since 2022 and be refunded 10%.... I suggested Bosch be involved in this process, to advise if Schott Ceran glass is being used as advertised online and in-store, and hopefully swift restoration of consumer trust. It has been well over a week since Joyce Mayne has contacted me as they are awaiting confirmation from Bosch Technical Support Team..... Attached are photos of the top right corner of each cooktop - the in store display with Schott Ceran branding and of the product I purchased..
