Got 5 years out of it and packed it in , considering the price I paid for a so called quality product, don't waste your time buy else where.
Reconsider Bosch Ovens – Extremely disappointing. Multiple parts and then complete unit replaced under warranty. Continued to fault electronics and now not functioning at only 5 year of age. Will not be purchasing a Bosch again.
Short warranty and disappointing customer experience – Oven comes out of warranty after just 2 years. After the two years be expecting to pay a technician call out fee of $180 excluding extra time and parts to fix any problems. I wouldn't have purchased this oven if I knew about how sensitive the oven is to air circulation requirements. The service centre seems to already know the problem as soon as I… Read more
logged the call without confirming the issue with me. Question is if Bosch already the issue then surely this must be a product related defect that should be fixed by the manufacturer instead of charging the customer for the defective parts. The parts ordered was going to cost me $4++ and they didn't even consult with me before ordering the parts. This is poor service and unacceptable for a supposedly strong brand such as Bosch!
Great spare parts service – Our 13 year old oven started overheating recently. Rather than pay a fortune for an appliance repair callout, we just opened it up and straight away saw that the control board was damaged. I ordered a new one from Bosch on Tuesday and it arrived (free shipping!) on Thursday morning. Oven fixed. Thanks Bosch - great service! Show details · 1
Not of servicable quality – Purchased 11/2019 the glass door fell off just after warranty. Bosh agreed to replace it. Now Jan 2024 glass door fallen off again. How can this pass the test of being suitable for purpose if the door cannot last more than two years before needing to be replaced. The glue use to afix the door on this model is not good enough for the job and smacks… Read more
of a serious design defect.
I have contacted Bosch and initialy said a technician would look at it in 2 weeks. Same as last time then you need a new door another wait of several weeks. On top of that they want to charge $180 dollars call out to see what we all know is a design fault. See this post https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/536cddd6-a166-5c97-97eb-dcc8e1a62ee9t . In all fairness anything other than the offer of a current model replacement at cost will not be a workable solution to retain a loyal Bosch customer. Now I am awaiting a review by customer support.
Tried for mediation but Bosch did not even get in touch.
Thought it would be better – I've had my new Bosch oven for 6 months now and although it cooks well, I'm disappointed with the clunky dials that don't turn smoothly, and the unclear lines on the temperature dial(I've had to put a black marker line on to define the 180 degrees). I'm not sure how correct the temperature is, as the dial can be very inaccurate where you turn… Read more
it.... and the base of the oven does not clean easily. It doesn't come off with a wipe, it needs to be scrubbed with steel wool. The smaller oven is definitely not as good as the larger oven. So I only use that for as a griller and reheating. For the $2000 I spent on it, I'm sad that it has these faults. I did buy this oven very quickly without proper research so I'll be more careful if I ever buy another oven.
Not up to the usual Bosch standard – Disappointed with the cheap looking finish of the control panel and the knobs are quite difficult to turn. Most disappointing was that the single pull-out telescopic rail was fixed/unmoveable to the lower shelf support. As the lower shelf is not where most cooking will take place, this makes the telescopic rail pretty much useless. I've been a loyal Bosch customer for many years but this oven is not of the quality I expected. Show details
Can't see the temp. all pies ruined – Cannot recommend this oven. The controls are very hard to see, with only dashes for the commonly used numbers between 150 and 200 degrees. Cannot know when it's reached temperature. Temp does not match internal thermometer. Now need to buy another oven to replace it as unusable. Show details
Terrible – The oven is only 6 months old and the glass on the front of the door is falling off! Sounds unbelievable for an oven this old doesn't it? Have a look at the photo. After many calls/emails it took two weeks to get a repair person from Bosch's outsourced repair company to come out. They had a look and said I need a new oven door cause the glue had… Read more
come unstuck (yes, they use glue to keep these doors together). Was told it would probably be another two weeks before they can get a replacement oven door. Would have expected better from Bosch.
Very Happy with the purchase – This oven is amazing compared to the one we replaced! It is extremely quiet, feels sturdily built, heats up quickly, has a good capacity and lots of functions including cooking pizza and pyrolytic cleaning. Love the cooking time programming and the push in buttons as a child safety feature. Show details · 1
Great oven with a few issues – I would have easily given this 5 stars were it not for the 24-hour clock and the poorly designed and cheap wire racks. The clock is so annoying, I want to cook food not plan a military campaign. And the wire racks are sloppy and move side to side about 2cm, there is also no stop so they hit the enamelled back of the oven. You can tell there was… Read more
little thought put into the design of the racks, which is a shame as the rest of the oven is wonderful. It is easy to install, preheats quickly, has even heat distribution, intuitive and simple controls, bright interior light, powerful and quiet fan and cooks food wonderfully. It's also very well insulated. This oven is so good I no longer use my expensive air fryer. Shame about the annoying clock.

This is terrible Quality Control item – I very disappointed with the NEW oven I received. I not sure Poland factory do they QC the product before send out the country? The good are pack Warped up nicely in original packaging. When I received the oven, the glass door are not attach Properly! Look like the glass door glued with silicon glue only (for bottom both side) top supported with… Read more
screw. The BiG pieces of glass door I can swing it when the main door are closed! I so worry the glass will drop out and falling apart! Bosch are So reliable branding why can use such low quality silicon glue And apply just 2 thin Stripe to support so heavy glass door? This oven is brand new Oven, in fact new items shouldn’t need repair, now I hv to arrange someone to repair for me! I worry heat retaining issue. Plus will the silicon glue will last as original silicon glue can takes the oven heat or not? Purchase my dream oven turn up my nightmare T_T

Very good oven, let down by slightly cheap looking controls – I was initially put off this oven based on some of these reviews, however it turned out to be very good. I use it pretty much every day to cook all manner of things. The only negatives are the controls look and feel a bit cheap and when setting the clock the increment is stupidly fast. Other than that, I like it. Show details · 1

Disappointing.....so much cleaning – Have been using this new oven for approx 5 months. It heats fine but I really wonder if it’s worth cooking in it because of the amount of time you have to spend cleaning it after cooking just one meal, eg roast, in it. It just stains really easily and then it is super hard to get the stains off. Takes all the enjoyment away from cooking a nice meal! Very disappointed! Show details

The Best – It's a beast of an oven with extremely efficient heat retention and distribution. I have never used its Pyrolytic self-cleaning feature, as I use the oven quite clean, but that would be a bonus feature. I also consider the fact that it doesn't have unnecessary fancy features such as telescopic shelving, much better as that means there are less… Read more · 1
number of things that can go wrong. It's only con is the two plastic buttons used to adjust heat and the program, and the way they turn a bit too easy. I don't like cheap plastic components on these kinds of devices. It's a fantastic practical oven, easy to use, and easily deserves the top mark.
Gets so dirty – I have the oven for 2 months or so (purchased brand new). I spend ~15 minutes each night cleaning it with stainless steel wire wool, it gets so dirty even when I just bake a bread or warm up potatoes, I've never seen anything like this! Show details

Great Oven – This oven, with it's pyrolitic cleaning function is very good indeed. It has a function to preheat rapidly before you switch to fan forced or normal cooking. The fan forced is quite intense and cooking times can be reduced. The pyrolitic cleaning function works very well, reducing everything in a dirty oven to ash that you just sweep out afterwards. Excellent product. Show details · 1
Perfect little oven – We recently purchased this product after much research online and we were pleased with the purchase. It was hassle free to install and it comes with great features in spite of not being Bosch's top-end product. We installed this in our investment property because of the brand name and it's proven durability. Show details · 1
Good basic oven - neat, tidy and does it's job – Bought a new oven when we bought our unit. Overall a good worker though would put it at the more basic end. I do have a few niggles with it 1) When coming up to heat - there is a light indicator, however no sound notification. This is fine if you are in the kitchen, not so helpful if getting on with other jobs while getting the oven to heat.… Read more · 1
2)The dials are not that easy to read as we do not have the luxury of being able to have it mounted at eye height. the most commonly used temperatures are under the dial Do like that the dials get pushed in when done, leaving a night streamline look the pyrolytic cleaning seems to work well - apart form the residue it leave on the glass front that then takes some cleaning. Seems to keep to time and be bang on temperature for now which is helpful. Overall - a good and not too expensive option to go with
Great oven for the price – I was replacing a double oven with a double oven so knew what I was looking for and the colour I wanted. The Bosch fitted my requirements and so far has been great Can’t give it 5 stars as the timer sound is abysmal you may as well not have a timer as I had to buy a separate one to be able to hear when things were ready. You really need to fix that feature Bosch as my 16 year old previous oven had a very loud timer. Show reply
Don't know how we managed before – Both ovens produce great and consistent cooking results. The manual gives accurate settings to produce perfect baking and roast dinners. We used the top oven for warming some pies and kept the pastry perfect. A prewarm settings allows quick heating of the big oven saving power consumption. Easy to use with comprehensive instruction manual. Great product Show reply
Push buttons faulty – Got one for a rental property and thought it was great because is was cheap and it's a Bosch. After a few days we noticed the push buttons get stuck and take 2-3 pushes to go out. Not a good sign for a brand new oven. This is frustrating as now we need to leave the knobs out constantly and stick out a fair bit. The eco clean does absolutely… Read more
nothing and does not make it any different to clean like any other oven and the pre heating takes ages to heat up. It's poor design with a brand name attached.

The pop out buttons are so cool! – Really happy with the look of the oven - especially the pop out buttons. Elegant and sleek look. Heats quickly with the 3DHotair function. Has 5 grid-rails. Engraved functions beside the knobs so will not fade overtime. Nice even cooking. Yet to try the eco-clean function. Show details · 1
Love this self cleaning oven – Great oven so far. We've had this oven for a couple of months now and we love it. Lots of functions to choose from. Pizza function is perfect for home made pizzas. Love the pyrolytic cleaning function. Hot tip - when cleaning the oven on the pyrolytic function, pop all the wires in to a garbage bag, spray with oven cleaner and leave it in there for a couple of hours. Take out and clean pop back into oven. Works really well. Show details · 1
Is Bosch, is good ... but it's not perfect! – Because I have a 40yo Bosch drill, I've always associated Bosch with Quality, Reliablity and Durability, so when it came to replacing our 20yo St. George Oven/Grill naturally I thought "Bosch". BUT, as with many new products, there were a few surprises! 1st, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to install in the cavity of our old unit. 2nd I… Read more · 1
liked the recessed knobs, as it's easy to clean the control panel. 3rd I liked how "rapidly" it heated up (5min to 180C), that a frozen meat pie, after defrosting in mwave, would be ready in 15mins! BUT, I couldn't believe that the "grill tray" was no longer provided with this version (/01). The clock I found easy to set and the timer less so (it beeps only 10 times anyway) that we now use a small kitchen timer instead. AND it took me 1hr to figure out how to remove the oven doors for cleaning because the manual's pic was inaccurate and YT videos even worse! My biggest concern was the hot air it pushed out the front of the oven and continues to do so when turned off until cooled. I was worried that the air intake was from the back of the oven (sucking in "dirty" air) but was assured by Bosch that it didn't. On closer inspection the air comes from an inlet inside the door (at the top), it flows through the oven door glass and is sucked in at the bottom of each door. Bosch should explain how this works as other manufacturers say it "provides flow through oven door cooling"... which is an important feature (that's why the glass stays cool). Finally when I mentioned that the Bosch website says that the grill tray is included, they sent me a "free" one. After all even the cheapest double oven provides a "grill insert" and some provide "telescopic rails" for this price... something I've had to order separately from Bosch. Anyway full points to Appliances On Line (AOL) and Bosch for the service they provide and "if" this Bosch double oven lasts as long as our old unit it will work out at a mere $80 per year!
Eco clean oven ? Disgusting mess – Always happy with Bosch so I believed this oven would be fantastic. WRONG we had this for one week and have been trying to get it clean ever since. We cooked a roast and the oven was left like no other oven I’ve used before . It’s like the oil has baked into the oven coating. BOSCH reps have been very helpful by sending us oven cleaner, - that… Read more
didn’t clean it after multiple tries and using the whole bottle - then saying the Ecoclean is working perfectly and I can pay for a serviceman to come out, if I’m not happy. Do not buy this oven or be sucked into the “easy clean “ functions because they are extremely misleading. These photos are after 3 cleans and Bosch is still saying that my Ecoclean function works and our oven is perfect.

Don't buy Bosch – Only had the oven 2 months and it doesn't work. Fan broken and doesn't heat up. After sale service is appalling and extremely unhelpful. After a week of saying they hadn't received our request for contact we were advised the part would need to come from Germany and they wouldn't put a service call in until the part had arrived. Very difficult to deal with. Do not buy Bosch ovens if you are looking for reliability and good and after sale service. Show details

Terrible purchase – The oven was damaged on delivery even though the box was pretty good. I was really disappointed in the built quality since I purchased this online then I got a new one and when I installed it I found there was only one oven rack and no grill rack insert. The plastic handle edges does not look like it will last and the enamel is already scratched on the inside. Very lacking for an expensive product. Show details

Terrible oven for the price it is – Had this put into my house from my builder. Worst mistake ever, food cooks unevenly, there is no grill tray for the oven so you need to use an oven rack and put in on top of the grill tray but it doesn't sit safely. The inside of the oven has the enamel wearing off and the temperature controls are wearing off too. The oven door has holes on top… Read more
and steams escapes into it so I have to disassemble the whole door to clean it. I paid $900 for an oven which does less of the job of a $400 one.

What an upgrade! – My old Westinghouse upright oven finally ceased to function and I now have a built in oven with 3D hot air and numerous baking options. It looks wonderful, makes my kitchen look bigger as it sits flush with the cupboards, plus no more spills down the side. I can't believe I waited so long. I no longer have to remove mornays or cottage pies from… Read more · 1
the oven to the griller to melt cheese or brown potatoes on the top. It heats up in 2 or 3 minutes, cooks quicker and browns evenly.
Best Oven I've Ever Had – This oven is by far the best I've ever owned. It gets to the desired temperature very quickly and cooks things evenly. Looks very stylish and so far seems built to last which is what I have come to expect from Bosch over the years. The push in dials are a good safety feature and makes it harder for young children to turn it on. The touch LCD clock and timer are extremely simple and easy to use. Show details · 1
