great and easy to use, all the controls work perfectly, makes a nice noise to let you know its finished and its alot quieter than previous ones I have purchased. Would definitely recommend.
The dryer leaves everything damp. Your clothes come out a wet warm tangled mess absolutely out of shape and often ruined. It all has to be hung out when it comes out of the machine anyway. I used the dryer a couple of times but found it a hindrance and bought a separate dryer. The washing machine part was fine then the bearings went and the quote to fix it was half the cost of a new machine. I got rid of it and replaced it with an Electrolux which is amazing.
Would never recommend a washer dryer combo to anyone.

There were many nay-sayers, but I'm so glad I went for it.
I'm accused of overloading my machine so it doesn't wash properly - not an issue here. This bosch washes incredibly well. And it has a 1 hr speed wash, which works very effectively so I don't feel I have to cram it all in one go (and when I do I set it to eco, which is more aligned to usual front loader wash time). For the dryer, I only wanted this for the odd occasion an item of clothing or sheet needed to be dried in winter. I gave it a run on a wash/dry cycle with a set of cotton single sheets plus a flannelette pillow case. 3hrs 40 mins l...ater I opened the door to hot and dry sheets. The flannelette case was still slightly damp, so I'm guessing it works better with lighter materials. Overall I love this machine as a washer and I'm grateful to have a back up plan for those few weeks when it doesn't stop raining.

I've changed my mind - disappointed: (formerly "Pretty good value for the combo")
Jan 2021 update
Today I washed a double flat sheet, a double fitted sheet (both white), two cotton pillow cases on a 'perfect' cotton cycle, 90 degrees. The flat sheet came out with grey streaks in various spots and the fitted with some but fewer. In the last fortnight I'd cleaned all the rubbers and and grooves in between the rubber seal and the metal drum, drained the pump etc. Last week a regular wash of t-shirts and jeans left whiteish streaks on a couple of the dark t-shirts. I'm fairly convinced it's a lint build up but no idea where to f...

Seal disintegrated just out of warranty
We've had this machine for just over 2 years. During that time it was fine. The drying was a little slow, but that's to be expected in a combo. But we're now a couple of months out of warranty and the door seal has disintegrated to the point that it's leaking water. And the replacement seals don't look to be cheap. I expected more, given the price tag. Not happy

Washer perfectly, dryer not so
My previous purchases have been a washer and dryer separately. This time I purchased a washer/dryer combo by Bosch. The washing cycle washes clothes perfectly but the dryer leaves the towels not completely dry. Very disappointing. Will have to purchase a separate dryer that will do the job properly. Added expense. Not satisfied that even after 2.5 hours of drying time clothes still not dry.

Good Washer Dryer
Just received yesterday.
Was not super happy at first as water was not draining out effectively and leaving water in the machine. We fixed that it was an installation issue on our part .
This replaces and LG washer dryer., which was good, but its drying function is not as good as this machine. This bosch does not use any water to dry, it vents out the back of the machine and you need to leave a little bit of space at the back, maybe that is why some users are not getting the drying results they should. A regular wash/drycame out in the sa...me condition as a regular dryer, although taking longer which you have to be aware of when buying a washer dryer. It does not sit as flush as my LG did in the cabinetry I have, it is in a European laundry, if you have it in a kitchen you would need a deeper cabinet. Overall very happy with the purchase. As per other people the quick wash/dry, you have to select that with the dial and then press the dry button and Auto 1. worked a treat....

Washes OK, doesn't dry
Thought this would be a good one. It was expensive, but materials and build quality were great and it felt nice and solid. It's the quietest machine we've ever used. Does a nice job of washing also.
The drying function was beyond bad. Even with just a few t-shirts it would leave clothes too wet to wear, let alone put in a cupboard. Bosch support were helpful at first, but this soon dried up. Unlike my washing.
After months of wrangling I got HN involved and now have a different brand. I'd have been happy to keep the Bosch if it actually worked, but it was a huge disappointment.

Don't buy it for the drying
I purchased one of these for convenience due to a lack of space in my laundry to fit both a washer and dryer. I had ready many reviews and concluded that the trade-offs as far as drying functionality were acceptable. Unfortunately I was wrong.
The machine looks good and is very easy to use. It has good energy efficiency and water ratings for it's wash feature.
Unfortunately the drying really lets this product down. I found myself often setting very small loads to a simple wash & dry cycle that takes around 120 - 180 minutes. Everytime, I...would still need to put the clothes through another 1 hour dry cycle or maybe two. If you're looking for a replacement for your dryer, I can't recommend this product. If you're looking for something to do a wash and a light dry before you hang out your clothes anyway, this might suit. I wound up buying a separate dryer and placing it in the garage.

Quiet and efficient
I have had this machine for over 3 years, very quiet, washes well with handy function of timer, adjustable spin, temp etc. Dryer takes a long time but I've rarely had to use it. Excellent to have one machine that does it all, without condensation build up of a traditional dryer. Perfect for my small family

What a Waste of Money
Brought this for the auto wash dry cycle, put it on in the morning come home to dry cloths, hasn't happened yet.
Using cottons cycle and setting it to extra dry, the machine shuts of after about 1 hour into its dry cycle on sensor dry and the cloths are still no where near cupboard dry.
Have tried a number of settings and found only one works and that is mixed cycle.
1st week asked for help from the supplier able appliances and 2 weeks before they can send someone. Bosch tech came out and told me best he does nothing and I exchange the unit?

Replaced our trusted Samsung front loader after many years of usage with this Bosch WVH28490AU as this one has a washer dryer combo.
No difference in wash quality, but within 11 months we noticed water leaking from the washing machine. We could not identify the source of the problem, after a week or so, we noticed a tiny breakage in the rubber seal, didn't occur to us that this is the cause of water leakage...
After few more days we are noticing that the rubber seal is starting to disintegrate and we know that this is resulting in water leak....Rubber seal disintegration starts @ the point where the glass door is contacting the rubber seal. Lodged a service call with Bosch and they said it would take few days for repairs. But, It's has been more than a week now after lodging a service call, this is yet to be assessed and or repaired... and luckily, we reconnected our old Samsung washing machine to wash our clothes. I searched on internet and found numerous threads related to Bosch washing machine's rubber seal problems. This seems to be a common problem with this brand https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2217839 this thread goes as far as 2010 mentioning same/similar rubber seal problems. These threads contain information from various countries not just Australian one's with same and or similar problems. Surely, someone would have thought of addressing this problem after almost a decade of knowing about this problem, instead of blaming customers on incorrect usage. But the cost of fix seems to be almost one fifth the cost of this machine. Never had this particular problem with my trusty Samsung front loader though.

Great Machine - Small Loads But Great Quality Wash
Worked well for around 3 weeks then threw an error message. It took 5 business days to get a tech out to us but the issue was resolved quickly.
Excellent service from the tech so I have changed my poor review to a good one. I'm happy with the machine and the job it does. Be aware that the lint comes out of the drain hose from the wash and dry cycles and check your outlet pipes regularly to ensure you don't have blockages.

Brought this machine after the last one broke after 15 years.
After connecting everything up I get an E-23 code and need a technician to fix.
After being on hold for hours I finally get through to be told I now have to wait 3 weeks with a washing machine.

Dryer uses water to condense steam
Love Bosch as a brand and have had many appliances over the years, but not happy with my latest purchase.
Model I just bought is WVG28420AU, washer dryer combo. I am now aware due to a sticker on the front of the machine (nothing in online specs except the manual!) that the dryer uses an additional 23L of water for the condenser to work, so watch out if you care about your water consumption, or you're on tank water - well, this is Australia.....
Also, drying takes
approximately 2.5hours, and you can't just pop a couple of damp things to dry off. They come out wetter, believe it or not....
Also....the door won't open until drying load is cool, which takes another hour...
Washing function is Bosch-perfect, shame about the dryer! ...Fortunately Appliances Online have been terrific, and are assisting me with a replacement.

Keeps giving errors on screen. Crap at drying
Compared to a dedicated drier, this is a very poor attempt at drying. Annoyingly it can wash more than it can dry, so if doing a big wash, we have to remove clothes and hang some to let the drier work peoperly. After 2 years of putting up with average results, it seems the pump has.blown as it keeps stopping mid cycle and giving us "error18" messages.
Pricey but worth it - time and space saver
Very pleased with this washer/dryer combo. Runs quiet and cleans clothes well. Pricey but still cheaper than a separate washer and dryer. Takes up less space as well. Doesn't require any ducting which made installation a breeze. I like using the timer function to wash/dry using off-peak electricity. The auto mode (wash/dry) is the best thing ever. I've owned this machine for over a year now and no problems.
Dryer sometimes finishes before the clothes are bone-dry. Which is probably good for the clothes, but it means airing th...em on the drying rack. I'd like a "roast the clothes into cinders" mode. Wash capacity is greater than drying capacity. So to use the automatic wash/dry sequence you must do half-loads. Or remove part of a washed full load before manually starting the dry cycle. Drain filter is a pain to clean. Lint filter is pretty easy though.

Perfect job every time.
I cannot fault this appliance. It does all it promises. It is quiet, it runs efficiently, the clothes come out clean and the dryer woks well with no annoying issues. I'd suggest that people read and understand the instructions carefully. It has loads of features. Admittedly, I only use a few of them, but that seems common for most washers. It does great job with delicate clothing and rinses thoroughly.
Takes huge loads and washes well
Bosch have really taken off. I own a dish washer which is great so when out old washer packed in we bought this cloths washer. It's very power and water saving and pretty easy to load, set and then come back and unload. Multiple settings for different type of cloths. What got us by surprise is how much cloths it can hold and wash in one go!

Disappointed because it leaves marks on my clothes
I bought this to replace my old ariston washer dryer. I've only had the Bosch model for 6 months and been noticing marks left on all my clothes, especially the dark ones. Was told to run a 90degree wash 3 times. No change
Questions & Answers
Hi, I can't seem to increase the spin speed without the time delay button above being activated too.
Has anyone got advice on how to change the spin to 1400 when the program has been selected and showing the default spin speed for that program? This has been driving me mad for months.
I can't seem to change the temperature to more than 40c even on cotton. When I press it just beeps....
Hi I wanted to know do we need to clean the filter on these washer dryer combos, like we would normally for a stand alone dryer? It doesn’t mention it anywhere in the instruction manual ?
