We have been happy with this double oven until both double ovens stopped working unfortunately just out of warranty. We waited 2 weeks for a service call and were shocked to be told this is due to a manufacturing fault. We had to wait another 2 weeks for the expensive replacement part to arrive. 4 weeks during winter without either oven working because of faulty manufacture is not convenient and very disappointing for a brand like Bosch. Very annoyed that we had to spend $600 to replace a faulty part that had been put in during manufacture and 2 Service calls.

Follow-up  · Despite the fact that there had been a faulty part in the manufacture of this oven there was never any follow up by Bosch after my review. Bosch was not embarrassed or concerned that this oven was sold with a faulty part and that just after the warranty had run out, we had to spend another $600 to replace it. However, it has been working perfectly since the repair with the new part was installed over the last year at our cost on this expensive oven. It’s disappointing that Bosch doesn’t accept any responsibility for selling the oven with a faulty part (their serviceman’s evaluation of the oven’s problem.)

Purchased in at Winnings for $2,898.

Great while still under Warranty – Our double oven has been great so far but has just gone out of warranty. Only recently we noticed two changes which are not covered in the troubleshooting section of the user manual: 1. The light in the top oven can be switched on even when the oven is not heating and it used to stay on once cooking began but for some reason it now goes off when you turn the heat on and start cooking so you can's check on the food without turning the heat off! 2. The fan in the top oven has become noisy/ a lot louder.

Can anyone please advise if these can be easily fixed without a service call?

THE MIGHTY BOSCH DOUBLE OVEN. (PYRO!) – This is a very well made oven! We've only had it for two weeks so there's still a learning curve ahead. One of the best features for me is the design of the handles. They're smooth and comfortable, no sharp edges but the best part is they come far enough forward so even with oven gloves on I don't make smudge marks on the glass, so no more cleaning the marks off. I have only just started using the oven and very recently had cataract surgery so my vision is still very poor. I can't read the manual so until I do this is a bit hit and miss. Some of the symbols are still a mystery, but 2 days ago I managed to make a much better Pavlova than my previous oven ever did. No cracks at all, just a wonderful hard shell and soft inside. The grill tray insert comes in two parts, for easy washing and even would fit in the dish-washer. The lighting in both ovens is amazing. It would let anyone see how things are cooking from the other side of the room. "Brilliant" I have attempted to grill chops in the top oven and both efforts were problematic. I have to phone Bosch or Winnings and ask for help. It seems the temperature reaches a high heat when I put the chops in, then drops off to a very low heat. There are tricks to this, or the grill is faulty. Doubt there's a fault, but both times the chops leaked moisture and were tough even with me trying to keep the heat up. For Christmas I baked a massive glazed leg ham in the bottom oven and had great success. juicy, tasty and super tender. Fantastic result. I’ve definitely made friends with the bottom oven. I've tried to make my way through the manual but I find it's not laid out in a logical way ("my logical") Maybe it will make more sense when my eyes are healed. I like the pop out buttons, makes for easy cleaning and once they're popped out on either oven there's no need to check which oven is in use. The timer is easy to use, but the alarm is very faint at the end of cooking. It could not be heard if out of the kitchen, There might be an adjustment on this which hasn't been found yet. It will be a long time before I rev the heat up for the Pyro function, but I bet it's good. Not crazy about the metal wire racks coming to a gentle stop then coming right out of the oven easily. I know I have to be very careful. My old oven needed a shelf lift before it would pull completely out. I like the reflective glass doors when the oven is not in use which adds character to the room. The glass doors unclip and pull completely apart for easy cleaning. That's a very handy idea. THIS OVEN LOOKS LIKE IT MEANS BUSINESS AND GUESS WHAT? -IT DOES... Bring on the Pavlova's
