Bosch Series 4 KSV33VI3A
VerifiedMPN: KSV33VI3A1 review
Bought because it was the only "all fridge" which could fit in the space. It only came in ‘Stainless Steel Look’, a flat murky grey which looks nothing like stainless steel. Bad design The door shelf layout wastes a lot of space. Shelf depth is 1250ml which is too much for the largest bottles/cartons/jars but not deep enough to fit 2 small jars.
Below the usual dairy/egg compartment at the top, there are 4 shelves, only 1 adjustable higher/lower. You get 2 high shelves which fit tall bottles and 2 shelves which are not high enough for tall bottles but too high for smaller items. The only adjustment available just makes 1 bottle shelf extra high (see photo). The height available would easily fit 2 more shelves for sm/med jars like spreads, mayos, mustards, etc.
There is no room for bottles to stand upright in the main fridge area.
Door The door does not close itself, you have to make sure it’s firmly shut, vip in summer see below.
Condensation The fridge was installed in Feb when the weather was hot and humid. It is not suited to these climate conditions. Everything inside – shelves, stored items, was constantly covered with a film of condensation just from opening and closing the door, despite doing it as quickly as possible. Accessing too often resulted in water pooling inside from excessive condensation. This problem stopped in May when the weather was colder and dryer. The fridge is NOT frost free, which is pretty unusual these days – I don’t know whether that’s related to the condensation problem.
Changing from L to R opening WARNING: conversion from L to R opening means moving 1) the hinges 2) the handle AND 3) the feet adjusting screws! The fridge is only manufactured as L opening but there is a conversion kit to change it to R opening. I paid to have this done before the fridge was delivered. It arrived with only 1) done, i.e. the handle and hinges were both on the LHS. It was taken away to have that fixed. After re-delivery, with handle and hinges on the same side, it took 3 visits to get the feet balanced (1st time it was wobbly, 2nd time it was wedged with wood to stop the wobble). Success finally came on the 3rd visit when the AOL man noticed the adjustment screws on the front were different lengths and had to be swapped.
Conclusion: It’s a fridge sized for a small household which wastes a lot of space in unsuitable layout and isn’t designed for the Sydney climate.
