If I could give it no stars I would. It is the worst machine I have ever had. You put clothes in the dryer for 2 1/2 hours and they come out damp. A cycle finishes and the door won’t open. I’ve gotta open a flap and use a screwdriver to unlock it. Definitely not recommended. Show details
Finally! A washer dryer that does it all, and does it all well. I originally bought a Miele washer dryer and it was so problematic - just won't dry small loads. Miele needs to tell customers that! Miele's washer dryer is built for family use with full or large loads. Anyways got rid of that one and moved across to Bosch, which has less call outs… Read more · 1
than Miele anyways. As a disabled person, I'm really happy not having to wait for my carer to empty out the water reservoir in my old stand-alone dryer every week, or having to transfer heavy wet clothes from washer to dryer. The different programs are easy to use; it also shows you the estimated time it would take for a cycle. The machine itself is very stylish looking. And the big thing is it's super quiet! I was amazed. The only issue that has come up is the door not opening but this is a safety feature and stays locked until it's cool enough not to burn a person. I really only had to wait 4-5 minutes after it just finished. All in all, I'm super happy.
Washing machine is a little disappointing, we purchased just over 2 years ago and found that seal has broken. I rang Bosch and they want to charge $200 call out fee, plus parts, and will charge additional once the service exceeds 30 minutes. Feel that it’s a bit disappointing to spend that sort of money to have the machine this sort of problem. I will not buy anymore Bosch products after this experience. Show details
Not worth the price in terms of longevity – Works great as long as you have it. Broke down after 4 years. I would say, that's unacceptable for an appliance costing $1399. My westinghouse machine earlier lasted 7 years. Show details
Bosch series 6 tumbled dryer – Brought the Bosch series 6 as heard the good review ( yes, doing my research), as mine was shitted it self after 8 years. So far so good, but unfortunately its not made in Germany as its been advertised ( series 8 is though). Quiet, but rather long while for a full load in my old one max would take 2 and half hours max.
Happy washerwoman – High performance. Very quiet and does a good job. Also very easy to use and gentle with delicates. Show details
Please avoid buying one of these if you can! – This is a review of this washer over a 2 year period. We have used this washer dryer combo for 2 years now. It has not been perfect. Our issue has been the drying function which has a tendency to introduce excessive wrinkles to the clothing. Our solution has been to select a lower level of drying which leaves it almost completely dry and then… Read more
leave the clothes on a hanger to completely air dry for a few hours.
Our issue is now the washer dryer is now displaying an intermittent problem where it would stop washing or drying mid cycle and reset itself. Once it is in this "limp mode", it would refuse to do anything properly. IT woun't even unlock the door for you to remove half-washed or half dried laundry! Apparently Bosch and their sub-contractors do not seem to have the expertise to fix it. After 3 technician visits (translate to 3 days of Annual leave consumed as I have to be around when their technicians attend), Bosch is no closer to solving or fixing the machine. In the words of one of their technician, this machine is "displaying a problem which they have NOT seen before." How reassuring! The washer has been taken apart twice to have circuit boards changed.
So Bosch is sending out another technician for the 4th time this Thursday. To what end, one might ask? They should just send out a replacement unit. I will be insisting on this as one does not have any infinite patience to deal with technical visits. We would expect if a manufacturer to replace an appliance if reasonable attempts to make it good is unsuccessful.
Their technicians have admitted that washer dryer combos are usually more problematic. So the advise to the consumer is clear. If you have the space for a seperate washer and dryer, please do not buy a combo. In fact steer clear of them as they are notorious to repair. We only got them because our laundry space was tight and we needed a dryer.
Update: Bosch has finally come to the party. We are returning this unit for a refund and getting… Read more
Don't trust Bosch's warranty – Our machine broke after 18 months of use. I was told it isn't under warranty as it is a small business. We use it 5 times a week. I'm very disappointed. Total cost of repair is more than $600. Bosch warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on sadly. Show details
Like it but – I moved to this after years of top loader/separate dryer. I do like it and it washes very well, spins to great dryness etc. However, why do the manufacturers think we need umpteen wash programs. As a household with lightly soiled clothes we only ever use the 15/20 minute wash with varied spin speeds with add on spin and drain at 1400 for towels… Read more
and such. Personally, I would like one basic wash program with temperature and length of time selection, variable spin speeds, and the spin and drain option. All the other multitude of wash programs are simply superfluous and confusing, especially to the older among us and also take far too long. Two drying cycles are also completely unnecessary, and the crazy door lock at the end of drying if you don't jump up immediately the beep goes! Get rid of that please. Also I would never program to wash and dry in one as the drying seems difficult to get right. It's fine if you wash then use 'My drying time' with a bit of experimentation. Overall I like this machine once I had worked it out, but wish it was pared right down to programs really useful.
Fascinatingly dreadful machine – I'm so amazed that a company that can make the worlds best dishwasher can also make the worlds most terrible washing machine! and forget the dryer part - this screws your clothes up to an unrecognizable state! Periodically throws the circuit for a bit of extra fun. But my main concern is the clothes being completely creased up! I've tried every… Read more
cycle and different size wash loads to see if it changes things - but no it continually creases the clothes so much! Even the washing isnt that wonderfully clean afterwards despite using the best laundry detergent. I have complained to Bosch but they simply say to get a service which isnt going to stop clothes getting creased. Extremely disappointing appliance but i cant afford to buy another at this point.
Great and convenient – Good price for washer dryer combo, con is that the power cable is quite short so you will need an extension. Also the machine doesnt automatically turn off after the cycle. Show details
Bosch Washer Dryer Combo Series 6 – The specs for the Bosch Washer Dryer Combo Series 6 (WNA254U1AU) say the cord is 2.1m long. The machine supplied to me has a cord only 1.5m long, which is too short to reach the socket, so I’ve had to buy an extension. Not a major issue, but it is one that takes the gloss off the purchase as it makes me wonder where else Bosch have cut corners and… Read more
scrimped on materials. Update Feb 2024: We've been using the machine for about 8 months now, and I can say it's worked reasonably well, so I've updated from 3 to 4 stars. Our previous machine (also Bosch) used to move around the floor a little bit when spinning as it couldn't balance itself well, but this current model spins smoothly. I do have one small grumble. It doesn't seem to rinse well, and despite us now using a lot less detergent than recommended it still often leaves a sudsy residue that requires us to do an extra rinse and spin cycle.
