I expected more from this oven. I had a Bosch oven previously which lasted for an amazing 15 years and I was very sad to see it die :'( Anyway, it was an opportunity to upgrade and I wanted to buy another Bosch oven, this time with a steamer function as well as an air-fryer function. In general, I am happy with its cooking performance but I am not happy with a few of its features: the timer and the alarm are so quiet I can be in the kitchen, just a couple of meters away and not hear it go off, yes, I can have the alarm go off in the app (on my phone) as well, but even though I have the sound at the highest setting in the app, it's still just a whisper. It's a shame I can't use the alarm sounds from my phone. Kind of important if you are waiting for that cake to finish and you are running around preparing other food that you actually hear the alarm. Very poor. My old oven had two very sturdy runners, this one has only one runner, no choice as to which height it's placed on and it's much more flimsy than its' predecessor. I've tried to use it's 'Cooking Assistant' but I haven't found it to be very useful. For example, I wanted to roast a chicken and use the steam function at the same time, for a moist, browned result. There is one whole chicken recipe in its 'Recipes' section that is cooked with 'Hot Air Grilling', there is also a whole duck and a whole turkey which use '4D Hot Air' + 'Hot Air Grilling'. I tried roasting a whole turkey using the 'meat probe', the result was a dry and overcooked turkey. I've never overcooked a turkey in the past, and I've been cooking one every year for over 20 years, but this time I chose to trust my new oven and it's 'meat probe'. Unfortunately, there are no general instructions on how to use the functions, like roast with steam, even though that is shown in their ad. and I have tried searching for guidance on YouTube and other sources. Come on Bosch, surely, you can do better than this, or is this AI creating the recipes with no human testing?
