Hi we’ve had our bosch WVH28490au Washer Dryer for just over 2 years and we’ve just noticed the dryer doesn’t heat up and clothes stay wet. The Cycle timer displayed goes down to 1h 30min as normal during intensive dry then all of a sudden goes back to 2h 50min. I removed the top cover of the unit and was told it could be that the thermostat reset button needs to be pushed in which i noticed has popped out. There are two green plugs with a button in the middle and beside them are two black plugs which also have a button in the middle. Do i push both buttons back in or just the button between the green plugs ?
Can’t turn off child lock
Is it possible to control the drying temp? I have items that say use the cool setting of a dryer. What would you use for this? Also the installation manual is really bad. It says if you have wooden floors to put a 3cm thick platform on the floor. Really? Just before that it says to use clamps if on a platform and then sounds like it says to build one. What about yellow tongue floors that are 1.9cm in modern houses with tiles on top like every house? Haven’t seen that mentioned in any other brand of front loader.
I have a WVG28420AU and I love the washing machine. However I cant seem to get the clothes to dry they always come out damp. Any tips to improve? I definitely do not over load. Also I cant find where the lint filter is. Many thanks
Hi Jennie C. , Thank you for your question. If you're findings the drying result is not satisfactory (laundry is not dry enough). Some of the reasons for this happening could be; 1. Excessively high ambient temperature (above 30 °C) or inadequate ventilation in the room in which the washer dryer is situated. Ensure adequate ventilation to allow surplus heat to escape. 2. The laundry has not been spun well enough before drying. Always set the highest selectable spin speed for the particular washing programme. 3. Washer dryer overloaded: Observe the recommendations for the maximum load in the programme table and on the load display. Do not overload the washer dryer, as the maximum load for the drying phase is less than the maximum load for the wash cycle. Unload the washer dryer after washing with the maximum load and divide the laundry into two drying cycles. 4. The power supply voltage is too low (below 200 V) – provide a suitable power supply. 5. The air filter could be blocked. This is a easy fix of cleaning the air filter ~ how to this is found on page 30 of the user guide. 6. Thick multilayered textiles or textiles with thick fillings dry easily on the surface, but not inside. This equalization process may take longer. For these types of textiles, select the timed drying programs. If you have checked the above, and you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
Can you shorten the drying cycles? I sometimes just need a quick dry and 2 hours is a lot!!
Hi AFeg, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch Dryer. You can use the displayed default settings or adjust the selected programme optimally to the laundry items by changing the default settings or selecting additional functions. The selectable settings and additional functions depend on the selected washing/drying programme. this information is located in the your user manual on page 20. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia

I bought a Bosch WVH28490AU washer/ dryer combo, less than a month and not happy the way it uses time to dry, washer is gr8, had 3 shirts and 2 pants (much under 1.2kg)on a 60 min wash and dry cycle, started at 7am and did not complete until 10.50am and still runs displaying "Hot", frustrated and not sure if it will get completed, so stopped it and the clothes are still damp. Tried another cycle of 2.30 hrs with same quantity clothes and went past 3h.45 minutes and I stopped it, I am not sure if it will complete, lodged a support call with Bosch and tech turned up and advices that the machine is computerised and will complete the task when it is happy that clothes are dry, it could be 5 hrs or more , and time it displays is not to be considered as the end time as it can add up when necessary and advised me to use less clothes ( I think may be one shirt or hand kerchief) is this a common way of drying clothes with combo, unlimited time ?
I find the drying system with Bosch is very very poor. I don’t use it now it sends your electricity cost high plus the cloths don’t dry properly therefore will not buy a combined washer drier machine ever again. If you have space far better purchase washer and dryer separate a dryer on its own is far more efficient

How do you open the door in the middle of a drying cycle? I have a Bosch Washer Dryer combo WVH28490AU. I was half way through the cycle and I wanted to remove the clothes. I turned the cycle off, but still the door wouldn’t release.
Hi Elaine, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WVH28441AU. If there is a high water level, high temperature or if the drum is rotating, the door remains locked for safety reasons and reloading is not possible. Hence why the reloading function cannot be activated during the drying phase. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
The only way I found to remove an item mid cycle is to turn the dryer off, then put it on "spin", press start, then wait for the 10min spin cycle to complete so the door would unlock. One of the dummest thing I've seen in a while! Hopefully there's a better way and I just haven't figured it out yet..?
I cannot believe it either.I want to check clothes on drying cycle!!

We cannot open the door after completion of any cycle.
Hi Ken H. Thanks for your question. Sorry to hear you're having issues with your washing machine door not opening. If there is a high water level, high temperature or if the drum is rotating, the door remains locked for safety reasons and reloading is not possible. However being that you have advised the door wont open at the end of a cycle, we'd like to help. In order to protect our customer's privacy, we're unable to discuss your personal information online. If you could email us at socialmedia.au@bshg.com, quoting BSH5437 in the subject line. We’ll investigate further for you. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
Hi, We have been using this unit for about two years. It just stopped doing warm washes and the drying function is not working either. I suppose the heating element is gone or could you suggest any other issues, like a thermostat or some sort of control unit problem? Thanks.

My old Bosch front loader washed all clothes beautifully. This new one is creasing garments that I have never had to iron. Very disappointed and frustrating. Considering returning the machine. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Wendy, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch washer dryer. We'd recommend lowering the spin speed. The spin speed can be changed before and during the program (in rpm, revolutions per minute) depending on the progress of the program. A spin speed of more than 1000 rpm is recommended for cotton, more than 800 rpm for easy care textiles. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
Thanks will give that a go.
Hi I have the same issues with creased clothing. I have lowered temperatures and also tried lowering the spin speed but not much difference. I am so dissatisfied as my previous Bosch was wonderful.
I am finding the same thing. All of our golf clothing and travel clothing come out with wrinkles even though I use the Easy Care setting and reduce the spin to the lowest setting. These are fabrics which you can’t iron. I had an Asko before and never had this issue.
