I loved this BOSE Soundlink micro BUT the life of it is very short. 2 years. It just stopped working. The battery did not charge. I was using the speaker and it just did not recharge. I was witness to this as I plugged it in at 10% warning. I have owned many BOSE products in my life but i am so disappointed in the short life of this. It basically… Read more

sat in my bedroom and has never been out of the house.

I googled to see if this was an issue and it is. Some people with the same problem were lucky to be able to update the software on it (enough power left in the battery to resuscitate) and it seemed to work. Unfortunately the battery is not charging at all which by the sound of what I was finding on the internet it is a software issue and not a battery issue. The battery is designed for a long lifetime apparently. If it was a battery I'd feel better (although 2 years is shocking lifetime for a battery) BUT come on BOSE - OMG software issue - thats a big issue and an inherent design issue.

Only buy this if you want it for 12 months – This is a good sounding speaker, the longevity is the problem here. I should have searched before I bought it, but didn't know it has a reoccurring death problem. Bought this 29/11/1/2019 wrapped up as Christmas present, the box didn't get opened until Christmas Day 25/12/2019. My wife uses it Saturday mornings while getting ready for the day.… Read more

Come 19/12/2020 it won't turn on, recharged it, no go, held various combinations of buttons down and got the 4 white lights to flash. Googled this, yep it is cactus, they said contact Bose, I did the auto response was out of warranty period, we can sell you one at a reduced rate of $109.00, I can get cheaper at JB HiFi. I will not purchase another Bose product ever. Do your research, I didn't. I am so disappointed with this product.

My Bose Soundlink Mini and Bose Soundlink Micro died – Over the past five years I’ve owned a Bose Soundlink II Colour, a Bose Soundlink Mini and a Bose Soundlink Micro. All of these Bluetooth speakers are now dead. Nothing! Nada! I've never been able to find a solution on the internet, so today I'm finally relegating them to the garbage bin! My favourite was the Soundlink Micro because even though… Read more

it’s sound quality was slightly inferior to the Soundlink Mini – it still sounded great, and had the best portability. I frequently carried it in my backpack to pair with my ripped CD collection on my Smartphone. It even serviced our private wedding party on an island during the Blue Lagoon Cruise in Fiji, when our wedding party was able to have our own dance music out of this tiny speaker. But I’m writing this to warn prospective buyers away from Bose mini and micro bluetooth speakers. Don’t buy unless you are OK with maybe having to replace them relatively frequently. When my Soundlink Mini died I though it was just unfortunate. Later, when both the Soundlink II and Soundlink Micro (purchased 2018) died within a month of each other I realised that Bose products are no longer of the same quality that they were when I purchased my first Bose Soundwave. Do your homework before you purchase!

Love this gorgeous speaker – The sound from this speaker is amazing. It is versatile for all types of situations where you would like quality sound but in a compact format. The speaker also connects to our phone for some this could be a perfect advantage Show details

Great Sound Quality and Very Useful Portable Speaker – Bought this mini speaker last September for my mobile office. It is very useful: good sound quality, fast to charge, easy to use, and long battery power. I took it on a road trip last March and perched it on my dashboard because my car speakers suck, and just by using this mini speaker, which connected to my phone, I could enjoy any song in my… Read more

music app library.

Still working perfectly even now. Definitely would recommend to anyone who needs a portable speaker.

do not buy – I bought this. beautiful sound. compact. excellent for what we wanted. BUT after a couple of months we could not recharge it, so the thing is worthless. went to Bose shop. they did a reset and software update but went back home and it still does not recharge. This problem is all over the internet with complaints from many buyers. So do not buy this defective product.
