Braun PurEase Toaster HT 3110

This toaster is a real light weight but it does what it is supposed to do . I purchased this as a replacement for my KitchenAid which is slowly dying . It's into the cupboard for that one as a reserve. The Braun was easy enough to set up, takes up little space and was easy to operate. The outside temperature is on the warm side, but you can touch it with safety. The controls are a little clunky considering the price but then again when I see new toasters from a common brand race over $300.00 it makes me shudder at the cost of browning some bread.
The results I have shown, with even toasting on both sides, the 3 setting for normal toast does me fine , while you will need 5 or more for sour dough . being a long slot you can get two standard slices of 120mm in side by side but I did notice at 120mm the top just makes it into the toaster. It will definitely take crumpets and muffins or an artisan slice or those bagel things that seem so popular these days .
It has a setting for that in the form of a picture on the temperature dial but I am not sure which way it faces .....trial and error I guess.
All in all, it does the job until it fails, which seems a common theme with toasters, I can bet that it boils down to those hundred-year-old elements that manufacturers still use.... please , we need a change, at an affordable price.
One word of warning though when you register your product you need to put it in as HT 3000 not 3110 as it refuses to accept the model number.
