Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual 7791 Questions & Answers
To the lady that reviewed and said she thought the hairs were more being cut off at skin level instead of being removed, just wondering how you've found this epilator longer term.
Also curious to know if the battery life is still good after a while of use?
Also if anybody is using it for underarm and facial hair removal how they find it, especially on the face?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have used this Braun Silk Epil 7 for about 7 months now and I think it is great. It does pull hairs from the roots (not just break them at skin level) but I think good technique helps (eg, go slowly). Don't let hairs grow too long or the gripping mechanism will snap the long hair instead of pulling it out. Battery life is still good, I have not yet started to notice a decrease in battery life each time I recharge it. I use it weekly and sometimes twice weekly, and I find one charge is good for two sessions of 3/4 leg hair removal (though I don't have thick leg hairs). I tried it on my underarms and regretted it as my underarm skin is so soft it got dragged/caught up in the tiny rotating grippers and left a stingy kind of graze. For the same reason I would be hesitant to use it on the bikini area. However, I use it on the fine fuzz on my cheeks and outer jaw, and on my hands and forearms and it works excellently there - much less skin reddening and pulling than waxing.
I have had one of these for years and recently upgraded to the newer model. I had never used it on my underarms before but decided to give it a go. Hint is to make sure you put you arms back as much as possible to pull the skin as tight as you can. Works wonderfully for me. I do my upper lip, 3/4 leg and bikini {leaving only about 4-5cm centre strip} trick is that where ever your using it, pull the skin as tight as you can.
