I purchased the Braun Silk-épil 9 Flex 3D from Amazon Australia in December 2022 for approximately $279. After about three years of normal household use, the epilator head suffered a structural breakage, making the device unusable. This was not battery wear or gradual decline, it was a physical failure of the head assembly. I contacted Braun seeking a replacement head. Instead of addressing the durability issue, I was referred to an authorised service centre because the product is outside the 2-year warranty. For a premium appliance in this price range ,especially one advertised as being designed to last several years, this outcome is disappointing. I also contacted Amazon as the retailer, but the issue remains unresolved. Based on this experience even though I was the braun customerfor more than 20 years, I will not be purchasing Braun products again.

A component of the head assembly failed physically, which rendered the device unusable. This was not related to battery performance or gradual wear. Did Amazon offer a solution? I contacted Amazon Australia, but I did not receive a response or any proposed resolution. How was Braun's tone? The responses from Braun were polite and professional, but focused on warranty terms and referral to a service centre rather than addressing the durability concern directly.

I bought the silk-epil 9 flex a few months ago. Loving it. It removes the hair easily and in comparison to my previous epilator its almost painless. The flexible head makes shaving around knees and underarms really easy and the effect last for almost 4 weeks. I read some reviews saying the product doesn't hold a charge and the hair removal can be patchy....I haven't found this at all. I charge my product after each use and find the overall results really positive. I would definitely recommend l.

Don't bother – I would never recommend this product. After having a Braun Epilator for that didn't miss a beat for 20 years previously, I was so disappointed that I chose to replace it with this one. At first, I loved it. The flex head was great and it felt like it did the job a lot quicker. Unfortunately (and much as I fear with cordless appliances as it's so common), in not too long, it wouldn't hold a charge long enough to do my legs. Or half my legs. Then it just stopped working. I sent it to one of their repairers who fixed it, and expressed my concem about this happening again, after warranty. Sure enough, not too much later, it wouldn't hold a charge again. I could get just 1/4 my legs done before it would die. As of today, it's down to 1/8 of my legs, and it's stopped charging altogether. I wrote to Braun early Oct, and it was suggested I sent it to another dept. I wrote to them 6 weeks ago, still no reply. This is under warranty. Very frustrating. I actually bought another Braun product, in the midst of all of this (in winter this year) so I still had hope in the brand. But never again will I buy a cordless one and I really hope my investment in their top end Epilator (at the time of purchase) wasn't tossing money into the bin. Hopefully they will at least replace it with a "lower value" corded product. If they ever reply.

First-time epilator? Great little device – I am surprised at how effective and easy to use this product is. Removes small hairs with minimal discomfort. It can be used in the shower and on most parts of the body. Great value at Chemist Warehouse; save $$ and time on waxing.

Hair Removal Excellence – The epilator has evolved. The delicate shape is nice to hold and with the movable head this creates closer contact to the skin and improves hair extraction. I am a long term waxer and epilator user, so am use to the discomfort with these options of hair removal. The Braun EPIL 9 is so comfortable to use, I am in awe of how they have achieved what has been a life long painful process for me. I am now a daily user over my face and legs with minimal discomfort (it does not bother me at all) The bonus with the EPIL 9 is the exfoliation brush addition.

Its now November 2025. I have been using this product for about 5 months now. No issues so far with the charging capacity of the product, it is still holding the charge allowing me complete areas. I place my Silkepil 9 flex on charge after each use. The effects are still lasting approximately 4 weeks but I have noted that the hair removal is slightly less effective than when I first started using - I need to go over a few areas on my legs again to remove all hair. Overall I am still very happy with the product and it remains relatively pain-free.
