Bad experience – Agree with all the poor reviews. Tried Bravecto after seeing a TV ad and vet endorsed its a good product if fleas are suspected and to prevent ticks. Chemical burn on back of neck and now some 5 months later I see it's still there and scabbing up still. Horrible product. Show details

Absolutely the worst ! – Our Russian Blue/Rag Doll Cat has never recovered from his treatment 18 months ago ! He has lost his coat and now basically looks like a cat that has been through radium and chemo ! He also has lumps on him which the Vet believes is his autoimmune system has totally crashed . After numerous visits to the Vet, natural therapies,, changes in… Read more

diet and litter, we have had absolutely no results ! He has had huge doses of prednisone, antibiotics and other medication, along with different washes . This is seriously harmful – Same as with the others, our cat scratched off a huge patch of hair and now has a bald spot. Followed vet’s and leaflet instructions to the dot, this is seriously harmful. I’ve tried washing it off after 48h, we’ll see. Show details

DO NOT USE BRAVECTO PLUS – My cat has had a reaction to the treatment, Bravecto Plus for the larger cats (purple box). He has lost a large patch of hair and is extremely itching.. He is uncomfortable and in pain! I realise that these were some side affects, but to this extreme is absolutely ridiculous! Show details

My cat was very ill with worms, this stuff made him better – My big 6 y/o boy was vomiting and lethargic and I treated him with bravecto plus to worm him and within 24 hrs his appetite returned, the vomiting has stopped, he is happy and playful again with his adopted brother, his coat is healthy again though he did experience some discomfort(itching) at the back of his neck and some minor hair loss But, I… Read more

am grateful to say he is now a very happy boy I’m so sorry to hear other people’s sad stories I was shocked when I read these reviews so I had to do my own

Definitely works – I applied thus product to all my cats back in November. No adverse reactions and must work as we just found a dead tick on my daughter bed where our 16 year old cat always sleeps. This happened just two days after the next door neighbors cat had to go to emergency vet for tick treatment. And she only goes outside on a leash.

Awesome – I’m really confused about why there are so many bad reviews. This is awesome for my cat as I am shocking at remembering and it covers paralysis ticks. I think the spot treatment for cats is new. It’s been great and no problems.

Poison – Gave this to my cat thinking I was doing the right thing by keeping him safe from the deadly paralysis tick, turns out I almost killed him using the poison that’s meant to keep him safe. He suffered a neurological event after having this toxin applied. He was rushed to the emergency vet who suggested putting him to sleep. I knew it was the spot on… Read more

that did it. He was nursed back to full health and I’ll no longer fund the big pharma that poison our animals.

Don’t use Bravecto for cats!!! – I’ve used Bravecto many times on my cat without issues. But this time, his skin became raw and bloody and his hair fell out. I called them - they claim the formula has not been changed, but all the pics and complaints online would suggest otherwise. It’s been over a month now and there’s still no new hair coming in. I’ll never use this product again. Show details

Hair Loss and Incessant scratching...like anxiety in a very calm cat!!!!! Awful to watch and lasts – Still reacting 1.5 months after only a 1/2 dose because the stuff is so strong. He is a beautiful Orange Coon Cat with amazing fur, and he is getting bald. This is the second time this happened because my vet, who prescribed Bravecto, said the first time it was caused by anxiety, not the Bravecto. This time I gave him 1/2 a dose just in case,… Read more

and now he won't stop scratching and licking and losing hair. It is terrible to watch. This is dangerous chemicals on an innocent living being.

Hair loss – Hair loss only on the line where I applied the product (base of skull). I Watched YouTube videos from Bravecto how to apply properly because this is my first time using. Hair started falling out a few days afterwards. Where the bald spots are on the skin there are sores and scabbing. I read the leaflet and was surprised that it states that… Read more

Made my cat seriously ill - awful product – My cat would run while having this put on. A few days later I noticed severe diarrhoea in his litter tray and for about 3-4 weeks he would look really ill. Avoid at all costs – 0/10 would not recommend. The first time I used Bravecto Plus both cats seemed fine, however after the second dose one was super lethargic, spaced out and confused with dilated pupils and unsteady on his feet. He's now got a large sore and hair loss where it was applied which is only getting worse by the day. The other cat freaked out when it was… Read more

applied, trying his hardest to run away. He's never had this reaction to Advocate before. I reported these symptoms to the Bravecto call line and was told they're normal. Anything that causes cognitive issues, open sores and hair loss is not something that should be anywhere near an animal.

My heart is broken. He's been gone for 9 months – I have talked to many. This bravecto is poison. I will not stop trying to let all of you who love your family. Do not use. look at the rating. Not even a 1 star. We got a powder which is natural and on all our 4 kittys all the ticks and fleas are gone. Its called vets best and they have sprays for lawns. Been using this sense my big boy kitty was killed with bravecto. SO BE AWARE. Braveto is made in China. Show details

Never use again! – My 5yr old cat has sensitive skin and is allergic to flea bites so I use a flea treatment regularly. Used Bravecto for the first time supplied by her vet..never again! She panicked when it was first applied and seemed frightened and in pain for a day, I’ve spotted a burn mark on her neck and I now understand why. Will go back to using Advantage, never been an issue in the past Show details

Cats are supposed to have healthy coats – Our pet seemed normal at first, the treatment was placed behind neck as advised. We begin to notice small bald patches & believed he had ringworm. We treated this with a bought wash& expected a full recovery, fool the operative word. Several vet trips, & poisonings later, we now have the answer thanks to finding this. caused his condition, & without asking about his prior dose gave him more flea treatment, I'd done it a few days prior!!! I am amazed our mate Moonie Mungbean is still alive, I can now treat the baldness & give back his happy life, I told my hubby that MM looked like he'd had chemo, I hope this makes others wonder as it is us. I feel so cruel & stupid, I wonder how vets must feel about promoting products that they know cause these issues or does the money pouring in for treating them blind their conscience??? I had to borrow money for the last vet visit to be told I needed $270 more to see a "specialist", I saw this instead. Not only do I want a refund for the several products but I want a refund from the vets who charged me to poison my family member, Moonie Mungbean is not a pet.

I beg you - do not use this! – I took my cat to the vet because he had fleas and he was sneezing. Six weeks after using Bravecto, to the day, he was dead. Read the side effects for any medication you give to your pet. Be very sure of the product's safety. Here is a quote from the manufacturer's website: "Fluralaner is a member of the isoxazoline class. My cat started, odd repetitive behavior, then mild ticks, then seizures, walking in circles, blindness, the ability to hold his head up, bleeding from his nose, and death. My fur baby left with huge red bald patch – Within a day of treatment my poor cat started scratching the area and it ended up red and the bald the area about the size of a golf ball. I had to give him an antihistamine to stop scratching. I was instructed to have an injection type of medication next time and he’s reacted to that as well. Show details

My beautiful rag doll has licked all of the fur off of his nether regions – Applied liquid onto my 11 year old rag doll cat about 2 months ago, fleas gone but now so is his fur from completely licking it all off. Distressing Result – Our cat reacted badly to this product. He was panting, very agitated and running around the house. He was distressed and so were we. Bravecto should be Jailed and sued – My Tabby Ragdoll has severe hair loss along with skin sores, but the worst was his behavior. He was have bad neurologic and/or brain issues. Issues with Bravecto for Cats – I bought my Bravecto Plus for cats some two and a half months ago at our local vets. Product seems to be good as there were no more ticks or fleas but one of my cats started to develop red skin around her eyes and the other to pull his hair out. I was recommended to buy Amacin eye drops for the cat which didn't help and will be returning the next batch of Bravecto I bought. Not a product I can recommend or will use ever again. Show details

Dead cat – My 1 year 3 month old cat passed away 17 hours after he received the 3-monthly flea-prevention medication Bravecto (Fluralaner 500 mg) spot-on solution for large cats (>6.25 - 12.5 kg). He was a pedigree cat and came from a good stock genetically tested for HCM, PKD, SMA, so he had no congenital conditions to predispose him to sudden death. He… Read more

was in excellent health and weighed 7.2 kg. He was a strictly indoor cat and there is no chance that he might have accidentally ingested something toxic.

He was given Bravecto spot on solution on the back of his neck on Sunday afternoon and he seemed fine after that. Monday morning I wake up to find him lifeless - no heartbeat, not breathing, blue lips and cold paws. Rushed him to the emergency vets and they pronounced him dead.

I strongly suspect the cause of death to be a severe adverse reaction to Bravecto. I have now read so many reports of dogs and cats dying because of it or developing severe neurological problems. It it FDA approved and the manufacturer insists that it is found to be “safe” in studies in cats and dogs.. All the vets here in the U.K. continue to prescribe it. I have reported it to the FDA and asked the vets to report it to the manufacturer. But nothing I do now will bring back my beautiful boy.

I’m taking my other two cats off Bravecto and I advise anyone here who uses Bravecto for their cats and dogs to exercise caution.

IT CAN KILL – As previous reviews, I can validate that the use of this POISONOUS product can kill.... have used twice and twice my cat has had bad reactions....hair fell out from contact point creating a bald patch, lethargy, sleeping more than normal, off food.... there should be a class action against the manufacturers as owners have lost their beloved pets… Read more
