Bravecto Chew for Dogs Questions & Answers
Vet has prescribed my dog with bravecto but after reading these reviews I'm worried about giving it to her. She's only 2kg and isn't infested just seen a few fleas on her after having administered stronghold
I use it on both my dogs it works well. Neither one has had any issues. The rebates are a joke. It’s very expensive and the rebates are not worth it.

My vet recommended bravecto for my chihuahua today. He has no fleas but is itchy and won't stop scratching and chewing his tail. I refused the bravecto but got him the allergy shot that lasts a month. I just read all these reviews and will definitely not be getting the bravecto ever......I have been going to the same vet for over 20 years now and would never go anywhere else. Just wondering why he would recommend bravecto when it is so bad? Michelle
Can a dose of bravecto (12 week) be devided and given on two separate days
I don’t know why you would want to intentionally give any portion of a parasiticide to a pet. That’s what it is and why the ticks die when they bite and get your pets poisoned blood. This poison doesn’t repel, the tick has to bite them to die. Your pet can still get whatever disease the tick can spread. -why risk your pets life?
My dog used to take Bravecto as a 2 year old on up without any issues and now at 5 she is vomiting bright red blood, has diarrhea, can't hold food down or even water some days. So did the formula change? Because she never had any of these issues before. I can't trust the vet anymore because clearly they're not concerned about poisoning our pets.
Help! I gave both dogs their bravecto chewable
Found one on the ground and my dog was trying to eat it. I’m unsure which dog didn’t eat it. One takes medium and one takes large. I’m unsure what size I have. Has anyone measured their chewable before so I can figure out which dog didn’t eat theirs?
Both my dogs still have fleas after having the topical application of Bravecto. Can I reapply or give a different flea treatment?

I would not give to any dog, when your dog has a seizure, you will wish you hadn't. Your dog has convolutions , foams at the mouth, pees all over its self, craps its self, shakes violently.
How much milk thistle do I give a 100 lb German Shepherd and is the Spring Valley brand capsule ok? He is also on Prednisone.

Hi I gave ou poodle Scooter the 3 month chewable. Approximately 12 hours later he threw up after eating grass as he does . My question is would the medicine be in his blood stream after 12 hours or do I need to dose . Cheers Mark
I’m so scared my vet gave our three dogs bravecto told me it was very safe, well two are puking and I’m freaking out. We just lost our six year old dog to seizures last week. I will die if we loose another. We started them on a detox is there anything else we can do??

Personally I would stay FAR away from Bravecto, with the hormone changes and everything that will be changing I can only imagine what it will do to them.

My border collie was given a tablet form of brave to chewable for fleas and ticks. Given to me by my local veterinarian. He has vomited and been unwell for 2 days. I rang my vet who says monitor symptoms. I have never had a problem with spot on bug a 3monthly tablet made my Border collie only just 2yrs very sick. So not impressed at all.

We are dealing with the fallout of giving our Pom the Brevecto chew. My vet also told us it was safe. He had a history of seizures and I asked her several times if it was safe for him. He started having seizures, bloody vomit and bloody stools. It started out minor like yours. The vet said it was normal. After each dose it got worse. The last dose he had a sever itchy rash, the bloody stools and vomits and 3 seizures in 2 hours. I was terrified. It's 5 months later we are still battling the rash and he had another seizure today. No where on any of their sites do they tell you how long it stays in their body. Only that it kills flea and ticks for 12 weeks. I was told by our NEW vet it's normally in their body for 3 months.But I don't think they really know because there is no data on it. So I now don't know if he is STILL having a reaction to it or it's something else. There is not enough information on it. So I sit here and every time a period of time goes by I get excited and hope it's over. What I do know is he never had these symptoms and seizures before flea and tick medication. So I beg you to stop giving it to your dogs. Mine started with an upset stomach. Then after each dose it got worse. Till the last dose I gave him had me in the emergency room crying. No pet owner should ever have sit with their pet while they have a seizure. So your dogs may be a little sick this time. The next dose it may be a little sicker. Until you give it that dose that cause the seizures and throwing up brite red blood and has blood oozing out of his bum. I'm not trying to be gross or scar anyone. I am describing what I had to watch my Pom who is my baby go through. Tearing up as I remember it.
