Broke after 18months. Unacceptable quality after spending $144. Contacted Breville who politely said bad luck not out problem.

Purchased in for $144.

Beautiful colour but a huge disappointment – I bought this kettle from the good guys and it was nowhere near as good as I was expecting. The colour is beautiful however comparing it to the previous blue temp set kettle Breville used to make, this one is awful. They moved the water fill line behind the handle making it inconvenient to see when you’re filling the water up. The kettle has to boil twice to reach the selected temperature. It always delays when you press a button so you end up having to press it twice. UPDATE: My kettle is now struggling to reach the boiling temperature so it keeps boiling itself until the water is all over my kitchen!!! do not waste your money! I will never buy another breville product!

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $149.

Kettle started leaking just out of warranty – This is a beautiful kettle that I loved using. The incessant beeps were annoying but I could ignore it. However just over a year into owning this kettle it started leaking from the handle. Of course it was just outside of warranty when it happened so Breville won’t cover any of the costs. This was the first “fancy” kettle I bought and I expected it to last more than a year for the price. The $20 Kmart kettle I have to go back to has lasted for more than a decade now. Do not buy this kettle, and I wouldn’t buy anything from Breville ever again.

Overpriced kettle that leaks after a few months of use – Over priced plastic kettle that leaks after a few months of use. It also beeps every time you press a button, remove or place the kettle on the base. This also has a keep warm function, that does not work after a few months. I am on a replacement and this brand new kettle has failed in the same way as the first. These are badly designed and manufactured.

Pros The kettle does heat water.

Cons Beeps every time you press a button or remove / replace the kettle on the base and completes a boil. Leaks from under the handle.

Purchased in at Breville for $139.

Poor design, poor service – BOught this in November 2023 from Target. Their good aervice was the best part . 3 months in the lid wouldn't shut. To replace it, Breville wanted me to the cut off the cord, take a photo and they would send me a replacement in 2 weeks! What did they think we would do without a kettle? I fixed the lid myself. Then the auto cut-out failed so that the kettle kept boiling - even if you picked it up, poured water out and then put it back it just kept trying to boil. Also, that meant the handle was dangerously hot.

Purchased in for $69.
