Our ToastSet started tripping our circuit breaker about 13 months after purchase. I asked Breville to repair but they don't do repairs. I asked them to replace it as a quality toaster should last more than 13 months under Australian Consumer Law, but they refused. I asked how long they expect a Breville toaster to last and they refused to answer. In summary, they build junk that's only designed to last up until the warrantee period then they don't care.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $160.

Toaster had a fault 6 months in. Advised customer service and Robert was helpful, efficient and explained the process well. Hoping the replacement will last as Breville is a trusted brand.

Very nice design – We were so over our two slice toaster that decided it's time for a new one. We only wanted a stainless steel to match the rest of appliances in our new kitchen. This one did not disappoint, very nice design and looks amazing compared to our old one. The only issue - both sides does not toast at the same strength. If the same time is used for both sides of toaster one is either overdone or the others - underdone. But we can work around it.

It's a good quality to what I saw and tested in the shop before choosing this particular one. I hope it lasts.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $89.

What a crock. Completely useless – Well it looks good has all the buttons but it simply doesn’t measure up. The toaster drys the bread out and doesn’t completely cook the bread even on the highest setting. The time taken to reach this sorry state of affairs is excruciatingly long. I am buying something useful today.

The worst toaster I've ever had – Bought one of these toasters along with a matching "tempset" kettle a couple of months ago to compliment our newly completed kitchen renovation. It looks great, but that's where the positve comments end. As a functioning toaster it's a complete waste of money with performance that can only be described as pathetic. It takes *forever* to toast anything, and it simply doesn't get anywhere near as hot as it needs to in order to toast things like thick crusty bread. Even on maximum setting it's impossible to toast a crumpet and just toasting regular sliced bread it takes *so* long that you've boiled your kettle and finished your tea or coffee before the toaster has done it's job.

After a couple of weeks of sheer disappointment with this thing we threw it in the cupboard (along with the equally annoying Kettle) and went & bought a 30 buck toaster and 15 buck kettle from K-mart which make this matching Breville pair look positively hopeless by comparison. I had to give this one star because that's the minimum, but if it were up to me it would be a minus 5. This is a totally useless toaster that is massively over-priced and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Oh, and if anyone from Breville is reading this, I'd be more than happy for you to send me a cheque for the 275 bucks this useless pair cost me and give them back to you.

Purchased in for $142.50.
