Good idea, bad implementation
The idea of combining filter tap and water tap into 1 is good, but implementation is terrible. We bought this product from Bunnings, and after installation, the water leaked from within the tap itself. We called Brita customer service for help, so they sent a license plumber to help us, but it still leaked badly from within the tap. The plumber then recommended us to return the product.
It'd be nice if it actually works.
Purchased in May 2020 at Bunnings Warehouse for $483.00.
Beware - will stop working after 12 months and a nightmare to maintain.
I purchased and installed the Brita WD3030 in August 2018.
Initially, it was working fine in terms of water pressure and purity. We had some problems installing the actual tap, as the fitting was loose and very awkward to tighten. We engaged a plumber off the street to fix this, and it was all good.
In August 2019 it started significantly losing pressure. We again called a random plumber and they re-assembled the unit, stating that the PLV was perhaps not allowing as much pressure as it should. They just cleaned it out and blew through it, af...ter which pressure was improved. In November, pressure again dropped to a new low. Even worse, it started to leak. Luckily we noticed before the water damage got too bad! All this time we were replacing the cartidges at around $80 AUD a pop. We call in a plumber again and they tighten things up, but can't resolve the pressure issue. At this stage we have spent $300+ on plumbers and it's still broken. So at the end of November we engage Brita. They ask for photos of the installation and the receipt. Of course, it was out of warranty, so we just asked for support anyway to see what they can do. The support staff quickly jumped to the conclusion that the issue was with the PLV, so we ordered a replacement for $90. Unfortunatelty, after replacing this, the problem persisted. After reporting back to Brita support, they just pretend to show some empathy and ask for more photos.
Purchased in August 2018 at Bunnings Warehouse for $450.00.
Leaks and causes damage just like the previous model
I've had this model just under two years. It was provided by Brita Customer Service as a goodwill replacement for a WD3020 model which failed twice (see my earlier review on this product). The 3040 now has failed in the same way, on the same component as the earlier model, and the resulting leak has again caused damage to our kitchen.
There is a braided rubber hose from the cold water feed to the filter, identical to the earlier model. This has again burst and leaked. The hose has non-standard, Brita-specific fitting on one end, so you can't b...uy a replacement hose anywhere. Please please don't buy Brita taps. Three failures, including two floods in three years is a joke. My dishwashers doesn't leak, my washing machine doesn't leak. Brits taps do leak.
Purchased in January 2018 at Brita.

Know better, choose better.
The tap dribbles for a minute or so after turning off.
Had britta send a plumber 1st time. Attempted to fix myself, put new cartridge in r/h handle, still wastes water. Bought from bunnings. Never again. This is our 2nd one with problems. 1st was a 3030, this is a 3040
Do Not Waste your money
Since we bought this tap last year it has gone wrong 3 times, Water gushes out of filter while running tap water. They have fixed it twice but has happened again. Don't waste your money
Drip Drip Drip
Great looking tap, well packaged, filtered water, couldn't wait to get it going! Got it all assembled and turned on the water and bingo - we're in business. Except for the issue of a dripping tap - in particular the filter tap, could not stem the flow of water. Not the occasional drip either, a solid 3 drips p/sec. Checked all the diagrams to ensure that all the pressure reducers were line and all was as needed to be. Having invested 450 odd bucks and a few hours of my time - there is no second chance. Bunnings kindly refunded and my wife and I are 450 bucks wiser. Stick to the jugs people - simplicity is bliss.

only draw back is the water saving device that all taps have now thats really slow for water flow now but thats the only draw back. the whole tap is very well built and not in asia a big plus
