$118 officeworks
Thank you I will try to find a office works that stocks them.
I bought the this printer for $118 from Officeworks in Carlton NSW (it was delivered) and can't set it up. Can't figure out if there are parts missing or if I got the wrong laser cartridge - something is not right. Can anyone share how you got it from the box and got it to work? Never had a problem with ink printers. Someone recommended a laser one to save money since I never really need colour prints.
Mine worked straight out the box with the parts supplied in the box. It is easier to set up the USB option for a Windows 10 PC so I set that option up first to prove the basic printer functions were OK. Just put the setup disk in the PC DVD drive and followed the menu prompts. Once proven on USB, I then moved onto the WiFi peer to peer network printer option. The WiFi setup procedure in the quick start guide did not work for me, only the manual WiFi setup worked. It is a little tedious entering the desired static WiFi IP address and Network key using the printer plus and minus buttons, but once set up, on came the WiFi light and the printer just ran fine after that. Note that the printer only works in EITHER USB mode, OR WiFi mode, not both modes at the same time.
