BusyBoard Montessori Play House 37 in 1

Would not recommend this product to anyone!! Very unsafe and made poorly – The screws and parts started coming off within days of my 18month old playing with this product. I ended up having to go through Business and Consumer Affairs because they would not respond to my messages and made it very hard to get my refund. They then threatened legal action after me putting up reviews about my experience. I found it very unsafe and dangerous and would not recommend to anyone.

Good communication, very overpriced, flimsy product, items have broken off – I bought the 37-in-1 Montessori busy board house. I took a risk as I couldn't find any reviews online for this company and it was an expensive product. Communication was great, they were quick to respond to my query and my order. I paid for express delivery so delivery was also quick, they despatched the item the next day which was great. The product itself is really disappointing. You have to assemble it yourself which is fine, and it didn't take long, they even provide a screwdriver. But it's very cheaply made, several of the items need us to do more work by screwing/glueing them to stay on as we can tell once a kid plays with this, some things will fall off, e.g. the steering wheel, phone, cord pull item will all fall off. The horn is ridiculously loud, potential ear damage for a child so we will remove that.

I did give feedback to the seller and they offered an immediate refund which was fair but we would need to unassemble it again, pack it, then send it back. They said as we only had it a day they could sell again so were happy to refund.

I said it's a hassle to do that and that the feedback was just to be helpful and to say the product is heavily overpriced, but not to return it as we'll go and purchase glue and screws and make it more sturdy. I suggested a discount would be fair instead but they didn't respond.

So overall, communication is good, delivery good for us, but the product is not worth the money at all. It's very expensive at $309 (that was the sale price). I have seen better ones for a similar price with much better craftsmanship.

05/02/23 Update since original review. The seller refunded the $15 express postage fee I paid. They said they couldn't discount the product because it was already discounted when I bought it ($309 down from $379). A lot of the items have broken off the house already with light play. Also the wheels on the bottom, it says that they must be locked when the house is being played with, but they are so easy for a baby to unlock them, just don't put wheels on them at all is my suggestion. Unfortunately I am going to downgrade this from 2 stars to 1 star now, it just isn't well made at all.
