Why does canon 5160 not print same as preview?
why does my TS5160 printer keeps telling me the ink has run out and I need to replace the black ink cartridge even though I have put a new one in How can I fix this problem?
I don't know but having one of these printers I can say it does not surprise me. Mine seems to have a mind of its own and constantly causes me to scream out loud. It can take ten minutes or more to get it to simply print, scan or copy something. It takes me around and around telling me to do this and that which has no bearing on the process I am trying to do - and it can never recognise which tray I want to use and so I have to have paper in both and then it doesn't recognise the paper size.
Is this printer compatible with Windows 11 OS ?
I was very disappointed with the printer. The error message continuously came up. I’d turn it off and try again many times till the printer would not have the error. I persisted till the supplied cartridge ran out. I then decided to buy another black cartridge, I think giving canon a chance as I’d had great service previously. And all I can say now is, it working fine, I believe it was the cartridge causing the problem. I still wish you good luck, it is a bottom end priced printer, but I do think canon make a good product “normally” for the price. I am using windows I was very disappointed with the printer. Thanks for your experience of this printer. I'll take it on board to consider buying this model. Was your experience when setting up the printer for the first time?
I have a current model iMac (OS 11 BigSur and need only a scanner that would be compatible. Is this Scanner compatible?
I also have a Mac Pro. but the Canon temperamental both in printer and scanner mode. Scanned documents also present like a dim, fussy photo - not a crisp, clear page.
Ican't seem to find anybody in ythe Scanner industry to advise which unit to try so i'm at a bit of a loss. The printer i have is working perfectly well and i have plenty of tone as well so i don't want to get a new printer. do you have an idea what scanner might work with the BigSur?
I keep getting error out of paper even though the tray has plenty of paper . Ho do I fix the error.
Hi, is this ts5160 printer can print CD ? thanks
How do I get the printer to print the pages I want , from a article with several pages, and not have to print the whole lot? Thanks
when the print dialog box comes up ther is an option to print 'all' or 'custom'. go into custom and select the pages you want, ie, 3-5 etc, it'll come up with a preview to make sure.
Can someone tell me why my ts5160 prints terrible quality photos onto high gloss paper whether set on standard or high quality. After having Epson,Brother and others the prints have a matte look and very low clarity what am i doing wrong it is only 24 hrs old and the genuine ink that came with it help !!!!
You need to change the paper type to photo paper gloss or whatever gloss type it is, this happened to me aswell but once I changed the paper type it works brilliantly
Can someone know that Cannon cartridge 640/641 be used in this Cannon PIXMA TS 5160 printer?

My Printer TS5160 is not on standby, I have to manually turn it on, to print from ipad or phone, can this be rectified?
Why can't I print photos on Canon TS5160.
My ink ran out, got it refilled at cartridge world, ink lasted about 15 pages, only one of colour. Son in law refilled them although the colour was still half full. Now printer will not recognise they are full, have tried turning off waiting and turning on but still says the ink has run out replace cartridge? Any suggestions as I’m ready to throw it out have just spent $65 on ink for 15 pages! Thanks Cheryl
You buy the ink on EBay for about $10 for a set. Do not get them refilled. I have used hundreds of ebay cartridges on a different model Canon with no problems. Make sure you buy them with chips.
Thanks very much, I finally found that you have to over ride the problem by holding the stop button for a few seconds. But think for the extra couple of $$ will stick to the genuine ink. Thanks again.
Tried to print various documents from laptop but response was "Printer is in an error state",
Switched laptop and printer off/on in various orders.
Reloaded paper in cassette and rear and checked size.
Was able to print "network configuration page".
Any ideas?
