Water just tastes better in my Cheeki – I was very surprised to see the lowish rating most other reviewers were giving the Cheeki insulated water bottles. Mine is 1L stainless steel and I use it not so much for keeping drinks hot or cold, but just as a water bottle to keep near my computer. Why is it better than other bottles? I'm very fussy with the taste of the water I drink and use a reverse osmosis water filter to source my drinking water. It's okay in other drinking containers such as glass, less so in plastic, but for some reason water tastes particularly good in this Stainless steel bottle. When water is purified through a reverse osmosis filter, virtually everything is filtered out including minerals which do add to the overall taste of the water. Whatever it is, water tastes best from my Cheeki bottle. I like the feel of it and the padding on the base that avoids clanking when the bottle is put onto a desk. The screw lid is not as convenient as some flip top plastic water bottles, however I consider this as a price to pay for no microplastics in my drinking water. It may be relevant that I have very low kidney function.

If you are one that just looks for the cheapest solutions, you should probably look elsewhere. I personally put considerable effort and time into finding high quality durable solutions that through disfunction or maintenance requirements, distract me from what I want to do in life. This usually but not always requires spending a bit more as well as researching before purchase not just to identify the best item to purchase, but also whom to purchase from. If I needed another water bottle I would probably do my research again, expecting to come to similar conclusion but always leaving the door open for something even better that may enter the market.

False advertising! – Bought this as I was impressed by the promise of 24 hour insulation to keep hot. I was totally annoyed when I found the water only Luke warm after just under 3 hours. I bought it because it was compact and wanted to use it to add “hot” water to my bubs bottles when I’m out and about. This is false advertising!

Made In China - Poor Quality – Worst lid ever used - New range lids are hard to use and snap - never buy again sorry Cheeki - Claims to keep hot for 24 hours but it doesn't at all

Excellent insulator bottle – Fantastic at keeping water cool. I haven't found any other that does such a good job at keeping water cool. The water sprout lid could do with some improvement though, the hinge is pretty weak, any big force can break it. Having said that, I've only had to replace it once over the course of the year and that's with daily use of the bottle. Still comes highly recommended.

Bottle great , lid not – I bought 3 of these bottles for my sons. They do keep the water cold for the whole school day. The problem is that the drinking spout lid is not robust. So far in 3 months I have replaced the drinking lids twice per bottle. The cover snaps off with minimal effort and once snapped off can't be reattached. So far one soaked school bag, luckily not the one with the laptop in it Kept water cool The drinking lid is rubbish
