Great for the price – I needed extra freezer space & started the usual web hunt for something suitable. I had intended to go for something around 300lt capacity. I found with my research that there aren't a great deal of vertical stand alone freezers available. I did find there are more freezer 'hybrid' (can be fridge or freezer) models now on the market but the price is higher. This would only ever be used as a freezer so this Chiq 206lt (smaller than I wanted) seemed good value at under $600 including delivery from Appliances Online here in Melbourne. Ordered & it arrived within a couple of days. It was well boxed & unboxing was straight forward. All shelves, bins, door bins, ice maker & handle were securly taped inside the unit. The only thing I needed to do was attach the door handle which was straight forward attaching with two screws. The door is reversible if you require left hand opening. Plugged in & set the temp to -18. I left it overnight & checked the temperature which was pretty much spot on at -18 the next morning. I lessened the load on my other freezer & transfered some food also adding fresh unfrozen food. That was 6 months ago & here is what I have found. The unit is rated at 3.5 stars energy efficiency which is reasonable. My tariff is curenty 0.29c/kilowatt so this equates to 365 days use at approximately $70/ annum (about $0.19c / 24hrs) The unit is quiet & holds it temperature without problem. There are two things I don't like about it (but can live with) - there is no internal light - the pull out plastic drawers feel weak & if you pull them out more than halfway they feel like they will fall out altogether. I have learned how to cope with this but never the less not great (to be honest) Apart from that, if it goes the distance, I'm happy for the price. As an addition I still needed some extra freezer space & Black Friday sales are just finishing. Kogan have a very similar (Kogan brand) the same 206lt on sale for $399, delivery included, so I managed to secure one of those (they are now sold out according to their website). Delivery is sometime between now & Jan 20th 2025. I will do a review on that at around the 6 month of use mark.
