on the fridge door stickers ( Minimal Noise quite operation campared with traditional compressor) Yet I can hear the fridge very loud and clearly from over ten meters away. A CHiQ technician came out and told me this was normal!? If they consider this normal and advertise as I said. Then this is clearly misleading. I will be selling this fridge and buying. Different model.

Unhappy & unsatisfied – Had Brandnew Chiq 2x ( 1st purchase & replacement) but the chiller stop working both before reaching its 2nd year. Same problem, “ too cold that makes our drinks & sauce icy, then after 2wks totally not working “. now can’t claim for the warranty since they base on the 1st purchase. Fridge not working, only freezer – Well, now my heart weighs heavy having read these reviews. Our CHIQ bottom mount is just 3 years old. The fridge stopped working, but the freezer is fine. A fridge Tec advised us to turn it off for most of today. After turning it back on, it’s cold again, but we will not be putting food back in just in case it stops again. The Tec is coming to look at it on Saturday. More’s the likely it will stop again, even if it’s in a week’s time. Show details

Fridge stopped working – Fridge stopped working suddenly. I’ve had this fridge a little over a year and one day it just stopped working. Have called the company today to ask someone to come and fix it. I am still waiting to hear back. Good layout, plenty of space, work's well, but – I bought the fridge in 2019, on year later no mechanical issues... It's a good fridge, performs well, good cooling power, has plenty of space. But: Vegetable draw is not well designed, resulting in frequent derailment, specially when pulled further then half way. Becoming annoying and fiddly if loaded with products. Can be a bit noisy (not disturbingly noisy but you will notice when it is working...)

Next morning the Fridge was on 7 degC - the Freezer on 9 degrees. The instructions (in traditional CHING-lish) does not mention the temp. display or what the numbers mean. I set manual to Freezer -32 degrees. The cold air comes from the freezer trough ports in the back to the fridge. No change on the lcd display, no humming or any indication that it works..and no temperature change in 24 hours!! Statement on a sticker on the fridge > they make over 1 million per year. Well -this one was a dud. We bought for anadditional $100 a Westinghouse -white - Freezer at top. Plugged in - set to quick freeze and in 3 hours on - 19 deg. At the back of the Freezer are ports with a slider control to adjust the cold air flow to the fridge at different seasons.(same as our old fridge) A audible fan can be heard kicking in when the door is open too long and rapidly cools down again. This is a FRIDGE doing the job in hottest weather recorded here - I am in Hervey Bay Qld. Chiq brand is new to Australia - but made by a huge electrical conglomerate in China. "Westinghouse"...is not W-house >It is made in Thailand for a huge company well known too. Our last Fridge was a NEC (Korean) made. Lasted 12 years --and is running again. On top of the fridge is a small box with the control board - the running capacitor need replacing when it plays up>>>Fridge mechanic comment: - "too old -not worth repairing" >a new running capacitor is $20 and takes 5 minutes to change if you have never done it -I do it in two minutes. Whom can you trust when nothing is made here and brand name does not mean anything?
