Big picture, small brain – I have had this TV now for 7 months, and I am glad I bought it. I first saw a Chic TV in a Jaycar store and I could not stop staring at it, and I said to myself that I would get a Chic TV one day. I now have a 65" Chic TV and mini Chic freezer. I bought it from Betta Electrical and Chic was running a promo in that you get an extra 2 years warranty! So 2 plus the 3 that Chic gives you makes it a massive 5 year warranty! How many other TV manufaacturers give you a warranty like that? None

I watch a lot of sport, and I wanted to see how this TV would go with its 60 Hz refresh rate. It does not pump up this number like a lot of other manufacturers which can use words like super 120Hz, fantastic 120Hz; they are still 60 Hz refresh rate, just like the Chic TV. So the Chic passes the SuperCars test with flying colours. It also passes the AFL test too. I just use an ADSL as my connection to the Chic, so it is nothing fancy, but it gives great pictures via WiFi, you could also use ethernet, if you wish.

There are plenty of settings for you to play with, but not that many that you will get a headache from! I could not get Google voice to work on mine as my mobile kept hijacking the TV signal; I would not have used it any way.

The sound is 10W from each of its 2 speakers, but I use my stereo set-up when I want the sound to really fill my big area; a sound bar will do for most people, but give the TV speakers a listen first.

It is a bit slow in the brains department. You hit the power button on the remote, then you wait to see if the red light goes off; I am impatient sometimes and I hit it again and it must go on then off! So hit on & wait. I now have the power cord plugged into a smart power board & I get Alexa to turn it on & then I hit the remote button & it does not take that long to wake up. It goes to look for a channel but I just hit the home page I have set-up, and I go from there. From there it does not seem that slow, it is just the start-up bit the TV has a hard time getting out of bed; everyone knows that feeling.

Would I buy it again? Blood oath I would. Grouse picture. Sound from TV to my AudioEngine D1 via toslink then to my Yamaha amp via rca cables, then to my Polk S60 speakers; what a sound blast! The price is right, but you have to be quick as there is a new Chic in town; which I would buy. The 3 year warranty turned into 5 years can't be beat. Chic is by a Chinese company formed in 1958, so they have been around for awhile, and they know what they are doing; that is why a 3/5 warranty.
