Rubbish rubbish rubbish. I bought two of these thinking wow it's exactly what I've been looking for. Put it in waited the recommended 10min and added another 20min for good measure, washed it out ( as recommended ) and my greys did not get covered at ALL - don't bother at all with this it's like painting your hair with thick black mascara… Read more

Waste of time and money - no quality control on this product...its a scam.

Great product.....BUT – This product is very good. except its called root touch up but there was not enough product to cover all my roots which was very disappointing. I managed to do half a head fine, but then when it can to the other half I only managed to get 3/4 done before it ran out. Which is sooooo disappointing. I didn’t think it was as bad as the reviews – Tried this today and I think the product is pretty good. I left it for 15 mins and it’s covered 95% of my greys. I’m not a professional but I think that’s more to do with my application technique lol I do think there needs to be more product though, I have a lot of hair and it was no where near enough to cover more than my hairline. Show details

Works as well as the hairdresser – I swim everyday in the ocean and the product has faded very little. My hair is very grey and I found the coverage excellent ... left it on longer (15 minutes). It was very easy to apply and contained so nothing got stained. About to go and purchase again. Show details

It’s March 2025 and after all the bad reviews (which I should have read first before purchasing) I hoped they improved the product. It does NOT do anything. I bought this as an “emergency” solution for the next day…. Waste of time. Ineffective even after leaving it on for 60min (instructions say 10min), everything just ran down the drain. Color does not stay on – This touch up does not work at all!! I'm very surprised to see the color rinsed off an hour after I applied it! So disappointed. I've used Clairol hair dye and was happy about it. But this touch-up product is totally a failure!! I cannot believe the color didn't stay even a bit!!

Covers the grey with just a little spray. Works for me as just a little grey coming through. It's temporary which is fine. It's not bleach etc which is great as that I leave to the hairdresser! No complaints, this spray is just what I need. Show details

that is possible. I decided to try again, I applied double the amount and left it on longer. This time the greys were slightly covered but not enough so I went for third time lucky. This time the greys were covered, kind of. I can still notice the ones around my face but the others are less noticeable. I would definitely not buy it again. It cost me the same as the box colour I originally used and while premises were high, outcomes were disappointing.

Terrible – Terrible. Really not as described. I had to get ready in half an hour so thought I'd try it. really rub it through, NOT just use the "brush" as stated, wait longer than ten minutes, and try again. I will, I will give it a chance, certianly not throwing it away, but it's costly for what it "does". So, gave it another chance, blended it in well with my hand and left for THIRTY mins. Rinsed out. Nup. Didn't work. IT IS APPALLING. DO NOT BUY.

because it will NOT colour your hair a second time. It remains a one use hair dye. Do not buy this product if your intention is to use the same tube of hair dye more than once.

Sometimes manufacturers may boast about the extent of a products’ capabilities, but when it comes to hair dye, it either colours or not. I will not be buying this brand again. As consumers this is basically the only power we hold, short of taking legal action. Vote with your buying preferences and keep away from all Clairol products. If enough consumers stop buying this item, the manufacturer will eventually get the message. In the meantime, I will also be writing to Chemist Warehouse, because they stock and sell an item, which makes false claims. It reflects badly on the retailer, when a rogue product is on their shelves.

Does not work – Washes right out no matter how long you leave it in for and doesn't change the colour of your hair (greys stay grey!). Product should be discontinued. I won't buy this product again – I just apply this product. Didn't work at all. After I bought this my friend told me she applied this and waited 15 minutes and didn't work. What a waste of time and money – Especially went out in morning to buy a root coverage dye as I didn’t have time for hairdressers. Was going out that afternoon. Clairol root touch up does absolutely nothing – Paid nearly 20 dollars for a tiny bottle of this stuff followed instructions left it on for 15 minutes rinsed it as instructed and looked in mirror only to seethe grey/white in hair was 100% the exact same as if I never used anything. I can't stand the updated dispenser and brush – I've been using this product for years and have been extremely disappoint with the recent change to the dispenser and brush. Both are finicky. The brush is difficult to hold and use, as is the dispenser. Why have you messed with a good thing? Considering changing brands to something that doesn't feel like it's constantly going to slip out of my hands. Show details
