Best milk - but hard to find in supermarkets – With a heart problem I have used Dairy Farmers Best milk for several years now and like the taste. First the 2 litre dissapeared from Coles and Wolli's now the 1 litre is missing. Is the No Permeate milk supposed to be a replacement? I have not seen any adverts or info about the new milk, it just aoppeared. I filled in surveys to the supermarket asking why the Best Milk was always off the shelfs ... but no reply!

That there was insufficient demand to continue making and supplying the Farmers Best line. It has been discontinued. They recommend using their one litre Heart Active instead.
It looks to me like the two lines overlaped too much and they have rationalised to the one. Heart Active tastes a bit more oily to me which is why I always prefered the Farmers Best. (maybe Heart active to easier or cheaper to make???) No bad fats, tastes good a bit expensive..

I, too like the taste and flavor of Farmer's Best milk and the 1 & 2 litre bottles have been deleted from the Woolworths and Coles supermarket at Morisset & Bonnells Bay, NSW.What about the diabetic and people with cardiac conditions in these areas? Who is the ' know it all who stuffs up all our good health foods just because not enough people buy it?
i also prefer farmers best but have not been able to buy in any supermarket why dont you people advise the public as to whether you are still making this product and if not what product is the closest to the taste of farmers best milk
Bad – I usually enjoy drinking milk every day, but I found Farmers Best to be very difficult to drink. I found the taste to be very unpleasant, even when mixed with flavoured powder. I know people who seem to enjoy the taste of Farmers Best milk so perhaps it is an acquired taste. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to full cream milk that is creamier than skim milk, perhaps Farmest Best milk would be worth a try due to its nutritional content, however, I would not recommend it based on my past experiences. Low in fat. Healthy nutritional content. Unpleasant taste.
I am reliably informed that Farmers Best milk is not longer being produced! I'm not impressed!
I too am very disappointed it has disappeared from the shelves. Heart Active is an excellent alternative but more expensive and difficult to keep buying when one is on a pension, it also doesn't come in the 2 litre bottle. I don't like buying the cheap supermarket milk and prefer to support our dairy farmers.
Have now been buying Heart Active for a couple of months now, and have got used to it. It is not as good as Farmers Best was, but has a far longer shelf life (don't know if that is good or bad haha), Anyway, I guess you can get used to anything if you stick with it and there is no favourable alternative. It is a damn nuisance having to to back to buying the smaller 1 litre 'cardboard' containers tho!
Full cream milk from farmers was the best, now by having permeate free it lost its real flavour and will have to look for an alternative brand. I'm sure farmers will feel that they lost lot of consumers and shifted to other producers.
My husband and I love it – My husband drinks a LOT of milk and his Cholestorol is on the high side of normal, if he didn't drink Farmers Best he would probably need to be on medication. We both like the taste and he now finds full cream milk unpalitable, he hasn't found any other 2% fat milk he enjoys. The Omega 3 is a real bonus. Fills a need expensive
We live in Mosman and IGA have taken it off the shelf so where can we buy it now??...Its a great milk and always reliable....Please let us know where to buy it now..??

I'm from Batemans Bay & only been told today of this being discontinued. Why? as all the other type of milk are [censored word removed] & there are toooooo many types of milk on the shelf.
