I have vent and seal and have had them for sometime. I stack them in my cupboard, I use them in the fridge, freezer, microwave and for pantry storage. Love them for dishes with rice or pasta for freezing because I can put my sauce or whatever is going with the pasta/rice and see how much is in there and then just top up with pasta or rice. For… Read more

long term storage I freeze in vent & seal containers then place into vac seal bags so they havs the right shape to pop back in and microwave ( I wash and reuse my vac seal bags ) My veges from garden stay fresh in the fridge in them & I can see exactly what is there. I bake mini veges in white sauce dishes in them in the oven as well as mini roast chicken meals etc. I freeze my soups in them & store my fruit and fruit juice in them. I do not have to worry about stains from beetroot or curry or anything else. When I close them I place 2 fingers in centre and apply slight pressure before clicking disc in middle closed & have never had sealing issues. None of mine have chipped although I supposed they would if I knocked them but at the end of the day it is glass not plastic so I tend to treat them differently than I would the old tupperware cupboard. I use them for sprouting seeds for salad, cooking puddings, mixing and more. I have 2 x 1.5 litre round ones that I make a batch of pancakes every 4 to 6 weeks then flat stack pancakes divided by freezer paper (yes I even reuse this) that allows me to grab a couple and drop in toaster for quick breakfasts. Side note I am writing this review because I seem to write reciews qhen I havs issues but not when things are good so time for me to change that habit. Vent & seal worth it, usually on special somewhere & great value to have

I am so dissapointed in the vent and seal quality of the glass. It is not strong at all. It chips too easily when storing. I need to be able to stack them to fit them in my cupboards. Seems reasonable. But no. A light clip and they get chips out of the edges. So now a hazard, so I have to throw them out. One large oblong I got to use once before I… Read more

chipped it accidentally. And I didn't hit it hard. Waste of money. I won't buy them again. No wonder they are half price at woolies. Cheap junk.

Love this product, been using for years – I have about 15 of these in different sizes. No problems with lid sealing (I wash them on the top shelf of the dishwasher so they have not warped, I do not use a microwave). The lids do not go on properly if the vent is closed, because they make such a good seal. Open the vent, put on the lid, close the vent. I have no problems with chipping. I… Read more ·  1

stack the dishes with the lids on and the vents open. I imagine after many years of use I would have chipped them too if I stacked glass on glass.

Chipped thermoglass - very disappointed – I have replaced our old plastic microwave containers with Decor thermoglass. We have several different sizes. After only a few uses we noticed that the lids didn’t seal very well. We continued to use them in the microwave and washed in the dishwasher. They were never exposed to extremes of temperature or put in the freezer or used for baking. I… Read more

have just thrown out the 3rd container because it was chipped. I even found a piece of glass in a curry I was eating! I have well used Corningware and Pyrex dishes given to me as wedding gifts 45 years ago and there’s not one sign of chipping. Decor thermoglass is not a quality product

Great Product – I have been using decor thermoglass dishes for several years now and I am hoppy with their quality. Glass is a lot more hygienic then plastic. I have most sizes but the 1L oblong dish is the one I use most. I purchase from Woolworths when they are on sale and I now have a large collection. Spotlight also stock them. I will never go back to… Read more

plastic.

Whilst decor may make some of their products in Australia, the Thermoglass dishes are actually made in China

Glass food hygiene – I do not like to use storage plastic containers because of tiny plastics invisible to the naked eye called microplastics I heard that are common inside plastic drinking water bottIes. I use the large 1L thermo-glass container for my mixture of fruits - mixed frozen berries together with two fruits in syrup: pears and peach slices. For extra… Read more

hygiene, I would rather have a glass lid together with rubber seal and plastic air-release vent because the plastic lid is sensitive to black mould and bacteria that seem to grow along the rubber seal and groove where the rubber seal is positioned. After cleaning off the mould from the white rubber seal, I found out that the rubber seal had expanded while trying to fit it back into the lid - solution: use scissors to cut off a few centimetres so that it would fit perfectly in the lid even though a tiny gap might not make much difference for keeping it air-tight.

Unfortunate mishap but wonderful customer service great design – I have many of these Decor Thermoglass dishes. Very good design, very convenient for storing and reheating in same container. I had one explode in my oven (temp only 140 degree) which ruined the whole meal with literally hundreds of glass slivers. Also ruined other items which were warming in the oven. Glass and sauce over the walls, floor,… Read more

door and door hinges of the oven. A terrible mess. I now have to discard the other dishes or use only for storage. What a waste. I now have to replace 4 baking dishes with a more reliable brand.

I had wonderful customer service from the company along with possible reasons for this mishap.

The company has replaced the dish along with some other products.

I will continue using my dishes as I find the design is great and some of my dishes and lids I have had for many years and always wash in the dishwasher and they are still in good condition and still seal really well.

Australian Made Excellent Product – I've bought several Decor glass Thermoseal sealing containers over the past few years and they are noticeably better than their cheaper competitors. The lids seal perfectly. I was used to the cheap Asian made ones with ill-fitting lids so the first time I tried removing the lid from a Thermoseal, I was unable to. I simply hadn't pressed the centre… Read more

button valve to release the slight vacuum that holds the lid on - a sure sign of a good seal. Decor lids maintain their dimensions far longer than the cheapies too.

Glass is so much easier to clean oils from than plastic.

I accidentally cracked a lid a few months ago and contacted Decor to ask where I could buy a spare. They simply sent me a replacement for no charge. You don't get such generous service often.

Decor makes these here in Australia.

Lid doesn’t work on 3L bowl – I had bought many decor containers but 3L glass bowl is the worst one as its lead doesn’t air tight and open on its own. not its like use less can be used for washing vegetables. :(  Show details

Good – A little pricey but a good product. I love the range of sizes, and the fact that they don’t leak! So many containers I have purchased leak but not these. They look good and appear to be good quality. Only owned for a few weeks but look like they will last. I hope so anyway. Would recommend this product.  Show details

Lid simply doesn't seal – Our container hasn't been used all that much and it looks perfect, but the lid won't seal - so pretty worthless! Really Decor! For the price, you would think you'd have that worked out.  Show details

Use one of these on most days – I have a few of these in different sizes. The main reasons I bought several are that: The container is glass - I much prefer to microwave cook in GLASS. The vent on the lid permits microwave cooking, and storage in the fridge without changing containers. The lid is relatively easy to remove after cooking, compared with the earlier Decor model The different sizes accommodate most of my cooking/storage needs  Show details

Fantastic product and awesome service. Thank you! – One of our thermoglass lid broke - the plastic cracked so won't stay water tight anymore. While the container is a bit on the heavy side (comparing unfairly with plastic ware), it has been a reliable tool and we feel the thermalglass is safer for microwave heating. Thought I would try to contact Decor to see if I can just buy the lid… Read more

somewhere, only to discover that the product has changed. They are no longer square shaped but are now rectangular. Anyway, decor told me they still have some square lids and will post one out to us at no cost!

It just arrived today in the mail and I surprised wife with it. You can imagine how impressed my wife and I were. It is great to find a good product. But when a product is backed by a great company, service and customer care, it makes the product so much better. I have already bought some new rectangular ones before we received the lid. With us Decor has won a loyal customer. Thank you very much indeed!

Great design but ok – Pros: Easy to clean, perfect for soup because of very good lid seals, so don't worry that the soup will be leaked. And, I feel safer to keep my food in Glass containers rather than plastic. Cons:They are pricy even I bought at discounted price but the glass is easy to be broken or chipped. And the containers are heavy.  Show details

Excellent - makes life better – We bought the 600ml one for storing butter. It holds half a packet perfectly. So we keep half the block in the glass container in the pantry and the other half in the fridge until needed. Works perfectly for us.  Show details

Decor thermoglass lids don't seal – I love the look of the Decor products but they clearly have issues with getting good lid seals. They simply do not stay on. This has also been my experience with their mix and match range.  Show details

Great design but poor quality materials – Because of our concerns with plastic we got rid of all our old containers and switched to thermoglass. We bought in several different sizes which initially seemed really good; nicely designed with good seals. Unfortunately we bought 3 of the 2.5 litre containers which all chipped within one month of purchase. They are very expensive and Decor… Read more

were unwilling to replace or refund. I think they should stick to plastic as they don't seem to be able to make a good quality glass product. I have 2 Pyrex dishes which I bought about 20 years ago without a single mark on them so I think I'll be buying Pyrex again in future.
