wondows update for some reason i have not even bothered looking into, the hinge broke and the silver plastic front screen surround popped off, back is still on and 1 hinge is still fine so it doesnt bother me lol, does freeze every now and then but that would be because it is about a year behind in updates, it is really good though as it is running windows vista ultimate 64 bit instead of home :) and i really love the cd/dvd drive how it does not pull out and you just slide the disc into it like a car cd player as i accidentally sat on my old laptop cd drive and nearly snapped it :/ cd drive is a massive plus (the reason i brought it) design looks good hinge and plastic front screen surround fell off, refusing to do windows updates, freezes (all to be expected buying 2nd hand and not knowing the history of use

Bad – I bought the Studio 15 due to what I felt was a reasonable price at the time. Unfortunately the laptop has required multiple repairs due to faults in the hard drive and mother board. would prefer to return the item to have it repaired or replaced however they do not seem to do this.

When it is working the laptop is great but I would not buy another one. Choice of colours No face to face service, difficult to get repaired

boot up faster than my old Inspiron system. Came standard with 4 gig of Ram. Love the card reader as we have 3 different cameras in our house and it's easier to pop the card in than to find each individual USB cable to transfer pics & video. Love the option of different colours. Sometimes the system freezes for a few seconds, this can be frustrating especially if you're in a hurry. Also the sound from the speakers isn't the best compared to a friends Toshiba system, however there is the option to add external speakers and get better sound.

Excellent – I purchased the dell studio 17 about 2 and a bit years ago my laptop is still going strong to this day! i love the personalised colours you can choose to have on the outside. it. there was a little bit of a blue screen error problem but that was mainly due to me having it hooked up to a second screen. other that that it had been great i am very happy with my laptop choice! very reliable laptop, love the 17" screen size.the laptop is reasonably priced looks very stylish! sound from the speakers isn't too great but didnt expect too much from laptop speakers from the start!

that much more, roughly $350 extra. I have Bluetooth, DVD Burner, 64bit Windows Vista Home Premium, light up keyboard (which has 3 different settings for battery saving power), 9 cell battery instead of the standard 6 cell. Alot more that I can't remeber at the top of my head. I also bought a laptop cooling fan stand to keep the overheating problem from occuring & it works like a dream, it plugs into ur usb & turns on when you laptop gets turned on & same for when you turn the laptop off. I would highly recommend this laptop to everyone young & old. Very Happy with mine & hopefully it'll last me a few years as well :-) Design, Choose your personal colour, wide screen, Excellent Features, I got alot of extras on mine & it wasn't that expensive. I love the fact that i can pick it up & take it with me wherever i go in the house, couldn't do that with my desktop! Doesn't take up much space in the home either, which is great. there is no cons for me :-)

is not the best - as i believe most laptoos are! But, it is a great machine, and the optics are exceptional. the sound is quite good too for a laptop. I love it! Convenience. Slight unreliability - but its the same on the desktop - depends on the router i suppose!

makes it much easier business wise. veryy funn too use with a built in webcam up the top of the screen good quality aswell. veryy creative laptop as welll u can choose the colour u would like out of a wide range of colours. great screen resultuion. control sound play/pause rewind stop etc with a touch. nothing there is no cliches or faults in this laptop it is a great laptop purchase it now from delll
