Expensive, but lasted no longer than something 1/4 the price – Nothing special about this kettle except the price. Bought it and a matching toaster because it was a 'known brand' and the price suggested we were getting a quality product that would have a decent service life. Replaced with an Anko (Kmart special) for $40.
When I pay a premium, I expect a quality product with a longer than 'standard' service life, not the same old junk as everything else. Over the last 15 or 20 years, product quality and longevity hasn't been improving, it's been going backwards.
It’s got one job and it can’t do it! – It’s got one job and it can’t do it! This kettle does not switch off! The kettle just keeps boiling and boiling which is a real safety hazard. Have communicated with Delonghi but as it’s out of warranty they don’t care. Doesn’t matter that we paid $$ however they are comfortable with having a very unsafe product on peoples homes. Brilliant Kettle – This DeLonghi Kettle has been great. I use it everyday, multiple times a day and find it works perfectly. I use it for hot drinks, making baby bottles and for other general hot water use. It looks nice and sleek in my kitchen. Do not buy customer service day 3 no response – My kettle is 6 weeks old plastic trim has cracked design flaw thin plastic expands with heat customer service this is day 3 no response shame on you will never buy delonghl again shocking service expensive item didn't expect much more your customers service reviews are also shocking I hope this prompts at least a response from you.
