The lid on this kettle pops open when it is close to boiling, so it continues to boil and would boil dry if your out of the room. Stronger springs are required to keep the lid down.

 Follow-up  · Since pushing the lid down with a bit of force for a couple of weeks it seems to have fixed the issue of the lid popping open, so now happy with it. The handle is easy to grip, the kettle does switch off automatically and it's not noisy..
