my beautiful kettle so disappointing....
Distinta Kettlei have bought a champagne iconametallic kettle 9 months ago which is now peeling around the base im not sure what to do with it, i really love it.they dont do this colour anymore .and im not happy that this has happened it was from Harvey Normans.

The perfect kettle
Distinta Moments KBIN2001.BK (Sunset Black)When our first De Longhi kettle gave up after 10 years service, we bought a different brand from KMart.
That lasted around 6 weeks before the lift up lid stuck. It was a piece of junk really. Decided to splash out on another De Longhi and it is just the best kettle ever. Looks fabulous and is solid. Love it
Removable and washable anti-scale filter
Distinta Moments KBIN2001.BK (Sunset Black)This kettle is easy to de scale and keep clean. I love the removable and washable anti-scale filter for my own peace of mind. It's also quiet when boiling which I love. All you need to do is boil and empty the water 3 times before you first use it and off you go. It looks so stylish on my bench.

Poor Quality for the price. Disappointing
Distinta KBI2001.S (Finesse Silver)I bought this kettle couple of years ago thinking this was high quality because of brand and price. This is not to be the case. The kettle functions ok but the quality of the kettle itself is not up to standard. To thirds down the kettle on the outside a silver look rim that deteriorates overtime. The colour stripping and around the rim and discolouration. I have to continually wipe the rim a green substance comes off continually. Disappointed. I will not buy this brand again

Worst kettle ever
Distinta KettleHad this kettle for about six months and the colour is starting to come off near the base.
It first started a month ago and now it is peeling a lot.
Going back to my trusty Breville that we had for years and was half the price of this piece of rubbish.
10/10

Does what it needs to do and is very stylish, compliments the kitchen with the matte finish look.
We love it, and cant stop using it.
Recommend it to anyone e.
Don't purchase a Delonghi Distinta kettle
Distinta Moments KBIN2001.BK (Sunset Black)I received the Delonghi Distinta Matt black kettle and toaster for Xmas 2019. Within about 8-12 months the paint started to flake away from around the spout. I contacted Delonghi at approximately 15 months advising of this issue and asking for a replacement. It took them 4 weeks to reply and then they asked for photos of the damage which I sent them. The damage is very clear in the photos. I also told them when I first complained that I was relocating from Qld to WA and of my new address. When they finally got back to me they said they wo
... Read moreuld replace it even though the warranty period was up but they wanted the old kettle back. I then told them that all our possessions are in storage and that we wouldn't be retrieving them for some 6 to 12 months. I told them I was happy to forward the kettle back to them once we retrieved our items from storage. They wouldn't agree and said that unless they received the kettle back with the cord cut they wouldn't replace my faulty kettle. Really poor performance. I will never buy another Delonghi product because they charge a premium price for an inferior product. There are heaps of reviews about the same issues from lots of disgruntled customers.
Very noisy
Distinta Moments KBIN2001.W (Sunshine White)Kettle is aesthetically pleasing but it ends there. Sounds like a train when boiling water. The sleek design would style any kitchen but don't buy if you're in the market for something practical.

Good Kettle but colour came off
Distinta KBI2001.R (Glamour Red)The Delonghi kettle is a great little kettle but the red surface started peeling off 6 months after we purchased it. We took it back to Harvey’s and they exchanged it for another one. Hope this one is ok, I love the colour.

Disappointed in my Delonghi Kettle
Distinta KBI 2001.BK (Elegant Black)I purchased my Delonghi Kettle and matching 4 slice toaster on the 28th November 2017. The toaster seems to be going well however, I am very disappointed in the finish of the kettle. The black colour seems to scratch so very easily and the chrome at the base is peeling. Does not look presentable any longer.

It was great when it did work
Distinta KettleWhen the kettle was working it quickly boiled water and I was satisfied with it however it broke just after a year and it kept turning off before the water had boiled. The kettle is very hot to touch from the outside and the lid does come off completely. I probably wouldn’t consider this style of kettle again given my concern for safety. Also may reconsider ever buying a delonghi brand kettle again given the short lifespan.

Works fine- but after 2 years the finish is peeling off
Distinta KBI 2001.BK (Elegant Black)Delonghi seem to specialise in making great looking kitchen products but unfortunately the quality is lacking. We have a black Distinta kettle and toaster about 2 years old and while they still work fine, we will never buy another Delonghi product (we also have a wine fridge which, based on the way Delongi support spare parts for their products, is a $1200 throwaway item after just 5 years). quality not good
Distinta KBI2001.S (Finesse Silver)Kettle water leaks out of the level window and colour is coming off. The silver strip around the lower level of kettle is peeling off. Not happy with this products and it is not cheap to buy definitely not happy with this products at all. I have bought cheaper products than this that have lasted longer and performed better that than this product

Looks good, but that's about it
Distinta KBI2001.BL (Prestige Blue)I bought this purely because of the blue colour!!
The base is pretty light and feels like poor quality compared to my previous Sunbeam one.
It is really noisy and seems to take ages to boil - even when not full (1.7litre model).
Kind of expensive for a kettle at $130.
But hey - it looks pretty!!
Great Upgrade
Distinta KBI 2001.W (Pure White)Purchased kettle as other stopped, very happy with the look and is very quick at heating up without making to much noise as it boils the water, holds 1.7 litres and so far no problems ,the old plastic kettle used to have an aftertaste but this one is fine so far, will no after further use of product.

Ok, so if there are so many problems with this kettle why are they not being recalled & why are Delonghi allowed to keep selling this ? They are not the cheapest items out there & it is supposed to be a premium product. Delonghi obviously don’t give a toss about their customers as indicated by the lack of response to these issues.poor form.
Where is this kettle manufactured?
Why is the black colour coming off around the rim of my kettle I only wipe it over with a damp cloth.
