If you like numbers on your toaster, don’t buy this. I purchased the Eclettica Toaster CTY2003.G from Myer less than a year ago. The numbers and icons completely melted off. I contacted DeLonghi support and their response was: I understand your concern. The numbers on the toaster fading or wearing off is not considered normal from a functionality perspective, but it is generally classified as cosmetic wear rather than a manufacturing fault, as it does not affect the performance or operation of the appliance.

I’ve sent through a reference image via email to help you identify the browning settings in the meantime.

De’Longhi will honour the warranty for any manufacturing faults that impact the use of your appliance. However, changes to the exterior—such as fading or wear of printed numbers after the initial 30 days—are considered cosmetic and are not covered under the replacement warranty.

Cosmetic changes can occur due to environmental factors, including (but not limited to):

General wear and tear from regular household use Exposure to direct sunlight or heat from nearby appliances Cleaning with certain chemicals or products That said, we can certainly arrange for the appliance to be assessed. Please note that if the issue is found to be non-manufacturing, service and assessment fees may apply.

I agonized over writing this review because the people at Delonghi and their service are really good, but not the toaster, even though it's a very handsome appliance. At $170 one would expect a toaster to toast evenly. but the one I bought didn't. I toast english muffins and thick slice milti grain bread, and this device toasted the top of each slice to the point of burning it while the bottom of the slice barely changed from white, so I tried turning each slice over half way through the process. Furthermore, I needed to turn them around to toast each side evenly, with very mixed results. I contacted Delonghi and they quickly exchanged it for a new one, but the new one was no better, showing exactly the same faults. Obviously, this is a design fault, and equally obviously, the design was not tested before it went into production. So I can't recommend this appliance, which is a pity because Delonghi has a good name, and the toaster looks good, and the people are great

Hello Warner! We're genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with the toaster didn’t meet expectations, despite its design and appearance. It’s disappointing to learn that even after a replacement, the issues with uneven toasting persisted. Your detailed feedback regarding how the appliance performs with different types of bread is incredibly helpful, and we take concerns like these seriously.

We understand how frustrating it must be to go through these extra steps just to achieve an even toast, especially with a product at this price point. Please know that your comments have been shared with our product development team, as they are crucial to helping us improve future designs.

We stand by our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further to see if we can help resolve this matter in a way that better reflects your expectations. If you're open to it, please reach out to us directly at 1800 126 659, and we'll do everything we can to make things right.

Kind Regards DeLonghi Customer Care
