Very Happy – We used this air conditioner last summer and it was a lifesaver. We used it in the open plan living room of our apartment which had the kitchen at the other end. My wife was pregnant and it made her very happy, it is a little noisy but worth it compared to sitting in the heat, it also chews through the water but only on really hot days so cant… Read more
really set and forget.
Electricity bill didnt seem too expensive considering it was run every day where the temp went over 25 deg.
The remote control is great and the cool air is instantaneous.
Cons- hard to store as it is so heavy and you dont really want it to get dusty.
Portable but only if you have the window or doorway - We use a fence pailing to extend the panel so we could put it in the middle of our sliding door which worked really well.
Expensive brand new. Intant cool Air Heavy and bulky
So far, so good – I've had this unit in the garage ready to use for 18 months - it just didn't get hot enough to warrant using it last summer. I generally keep the house as cool as I can by closing all the blinds and keeping doors to the hotter side of the house closed. During the day we'll drink iced drinks and keep the fans on to stay cool. In the evening I'll… Read more
put the PAC150W on in our bedroom for a while to cool the room down enough to make it comfortable to sleep in. It would be too loud for me to sleep while it's operating in the same room. In this capacity, it has been brilliant. Remote control makes it easy to switch on and off without getting out of bed. Dehumidifier function works really well to cool things down on hot sticky days. Keeps at least one and a half rooms nice and cool. Sash kit is awkward and not long enough for our sliding windows. The manual suggests jamming the head of the hose fitting in the door - this would leave the door open 60mm and defeat the purpose of having the airconditioner on a really hot day. The unit is pretty loud, making an additional pulsing raspy rattle in air-con mode.
Good – Looked around for a reasonable buy on a portable airconditioner and this one seemed to fit the bill. Cool our 60sqm living area for all but the hottest days. The water to air function is great but if you use it for hours on end (like all day) then the air can get pretty humid - running it without water to air function is fine also but you lose… Read more
some of the cooling power. It is noisier than a wall mounted unit but we have used it in living areas and bedrooms and have just wheeled it between areas - otherwise would have spent 5k on the 3 rooms so a great investment.
Make sure you use the descaler at the end of each season as the water to air function needs this - I think some of the bad reviews are from people who have not bothered to descale - common sense really! Good cooling power, night mode, water to air function works well on hot dry days Can be heavy if you are moving about regularly but is on set of 4 pretty sturdy castors.
Terrible – A lot of money for nothing but a lot of work by adding water, for that max cooling. A 40cm fam would of been better. Dont buy a Delonghi unit your wasting you money. All I liked about this unit was it worked great till the temp went over 35 degrees. After 2 years cooling stop working only the fan worked, it seems adding water to the cooling side,… Read more
was that main factor for it stop cooling.
The turbo fuction by adding water have to say was a joke, I ended up having to fill the unit with over 12 liters of water every couple of hours to have the max cooling. Nothing worst waking in the early hours of the morning, covered in sweat and having to fill the unit with water to cool the room down.
Terrible – Cools the room nicely, had no issues with water cooler function although it made it run a little louder. Disappointed with the reliability of the unit, I don't think it would make a full summer without breaking down. Cools the room well even without the water cooling option. First unit I had broke down after about 15 runs, parts took 6 weeks to… Read more
source lucky the retailer where I bought it replaced it before hand. I ran it for the first time this summer and its now making an high pitched rattling sound. Lucky its still under warranty
