Newentor Portable Air Conditioner

should buy this one. 2. the water exit pipe works so much better, its higher up, the connection fits nicely, the water goes out easily, seems weird i say this but its important. 3. the air expandible pipe is higher quality, thicker so less heat loss. 4. the wheels are better, my others dont really move well so I have to pick them up, this one the wheels work properly. 5. the remote control is relatively useful, still not as good as a proper wall mount air-con remote, so maybe dont expect alot 6. the low setting is actually cooler than the other two air-cons I have, I have digital and an analogue temperature guages so I have actaully spent time testing this, one (the other 3.5kw) can get the room down to approx 24 degree's regardless of outdoor tempreture, it wont go lower, I suspect this is the units actualy max output despite it saying 16 degree's on the display... the Newentor is much lower, getting to around 21.5 / 22 degrees even though the unit says 16 degree's also my room has never got to this level. Regardless... the tempreture different is noticable, to the point where I actually put my other air-con in the shed and wheel this one around.. my intention was to keep one in each room (bed room one and lounge room another).

All in all, this is a great unit, totally worth the money, perhaps if I had to buy another, id buy the larger model.

Was easy to buy and delivery was quick. I can't believe the difference it makes in my home office and I've really only used it on Dehumidfy so far. As I have solar panels it won't make a huge impact on my electricity bill. The only problem I've had is that the hose I had to run off the water removed from the air popped out of the bucket and I ended up with very wet carpet. But now I'm just more careful to make sure the hose is secure. Show details ·  1

Cools the room quickly, but it’s louder than I had hoped Show details ·  1

Whilst the machine provides cool air it’s incredibly noisy until it reaches the set temperature. Once at the desired temperature the fan speeds drops hence less noise. It’s also extremely heavy to move it around so not really easily portable.

We are very happy with this portable aircon. It is very cold and here in Queensland the summer humidity is intense. The aircon removed heaps of moisture from the air. We used a 5L water bottle to take the overflow pipe and remove the water. Worked well. It is also the quietest portable aircon we have used.
