Hi, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I ended up throwing it out. I should have contacted customer service.
A great idea – We bought this to keep coffee grounds in so that we could keep them for the week or so it takes to consume a bag of ground coffee. As it is opened daily, it's set to the 24H setting on the bottom and sometimes you still have to provide some force to actually get it open! The 4xAA batteries last about 4-6 weeks using Enerloop rechargeable batteries and you know when they are getting near the end of their life as the vacuum motor slows down.
As we are making the change to grinding our own beans, I've ordered another to store the unused beans in.
It's not the cheapest option around (currently about $107 at Amazon compared to the $70 2 years ago) but it easily stores 500g and does keep the coffee fresh.
Purchased in at DeLonghi for $69.
Dissapointed – I Bought a stainless steel coffee vacuum canister to keep my coffee beans fresh. Vacuum doesn't stay sealed..Looked up instructions on net as instructions on box limited.Vacuum still not working.
