Installed 2022 initially impressed, first problem was a small noise on startup then also a noise as it came to a stop. Noise has gotten worse to the point where fan will have to be replaced! the problem seems to be that the fan blades and motor mounts "sag" slightly due to ambient temps in the ceiling space (I would have thought that should be a… Read more
design consideration). I believe that the as the fan spins up it lifts off the cover and heat makes it worse. Have tried lifting motor slightly and adjusting fan on shaft but cannot get enough space to fix the problem. Overall the fan is very poor value for the price - I have bought other Deta products and this one makes me doubt the wisdom of doing so. I will add Deta products to Click products as unreliable in my experience.
POWERFUL, AND VERY LOUD – Did a bathroom reno and wanted to upgrade to a more powerful fan, as our bathroom had ventilation issues. Our bathroom now looks like a resort spa, but sounds like an airport. Show details

Don't Buy.Inferior product.Doesnt fit flush to ceiling – Fan does not fit flush with ceiling. Back draft don't open properly.Complained to company and they didn't want to know about issues. And this fan is not the cheap one either.Expected better . Show details
Good for the bin – The shutters are rubbish and after 6 months the fan started rubbing on the cover, used with the cover off for a further 4 months and fan had dropped even more. Buyer beware Show details
Removing this fan after 2 days. Awful – Removing this fan after 2 days... backdraft shutters are flapping and making a racket in wind so we can't sleep. Terrible product and it wasn't cheap at around $75. Relatively noisy. Can't recommend it. Show details
Too noisy to recommend – The price of these is fine but once installed the motor rattles and is too noisy. The rattles come from the motor itself and there is nothing you can do about it. These are the real bottom end of exhaust fans. Airflow rate is OK but the rattling means that it will be dumped from a better unit. Show details
High volume, very poor quality and also noisy – Good: High volume Bad: Very noisy and vibrates. The decorative plastic cover is also flimsy and poorly designed. Ugly: Very poor build quality! The built-in backdraft shutter is especially cheap and extremely flimsy. The flaps fall off easily and, even when they are fully closed, there is a gap all around the edge and at the center.
Noisy, and the cheap fan cover breaks when you try to lift it off for cleaning – This DETA fan is advertised as very quiet (45dB) but in practice it is just as noisy as any other loud fan. Does it work to extract moisture - yes, it is efficient, but I can't stand the noise. Also, the cheapo plastic fan cover is not actually removable for cleaning. The clips break and snap off. To make matters worse, DETA does not offer to… Read more
sell replacement fan covers. Result: I am going to have to replace it with a different brand exhaust fan.
Disappointed! – It said that it moves 750 M3 per hour. It barely lifted the back draft flaps, didn't shift a thing, and water was dripping from not only the fan but the ceiling. Could have been a dud fan but at $70+ you want better than that!
Not too noisy and powerful – Did a lot of research on fans as we needed two and our new house gets mould in the bathroom in winter. Real test will be winter but it is quieter than the ixl we had and the bathrooms have a lot less moisture. Mirror doesn't steam up at all. Its very powerful and has the draught stopper which is important for keeping out unwanted cold/hot air from outside. Great buy, worth that bit extra.
