A waste of $$$ – Started falling apart and malfunctioning from the word go! 3.5 stereo lead crackles and drops input. Top plate glue didn't last. Clasp to hold speaker in 'off' position stopped working, so speaker always on. Sound marginally better than iPad. Throw it in the trash any day now.
Skype doesn't work on it – I bought a 503 to use in conversation on skype, I have a Sony tablet, I find it excellent for music, Youtube and Facebook. The lead for a direct connection is a bit short and skype doesn't work on Bluetooth nor on WIFI.

assuming the volume is better, but test before you buy if you are after a volume increase.
I have to admit I was very disappointed by the sound volume, it did not really boost the volume of most of my devices, but it did make it sound better. The device has two volume settings, quiet and loud, on loud it was similar sound volume to most of my phones, but as mentioned previously, better quality (more bass).
I tested with an Iphone (better volume on an iphone), Samsung Galaxy S1, S3, Motorola Blur and ZTE Tablet... the results were pretty much the same, no real increase in volume but sounds bettter.
The unit is tiny, easy to carry around, seems quite robust, looks good and the provided usb charger charges it up quickly. Energy efficient, inexpensive, portable Does not boost volume as advertised
