I was charged $10.26 for the toll travelling from the south into Sydney — however, no toll was paid by DIDI as the driver used surface roads rather than the tunnel (at my request — in the past, drivers told me passengers often ask not to go through the tunnel in order to avoid the toll). After the trip, DIDI did not remove the toll charge. This… Read more
is fraud — charging the passenger a toll when no toll was paid. Despite several attempts (App and phone ) to resolve this with DIDI Customer Service, and despite CS acknowledging that the driver did not go through the tunnel, the issue remained unresolved. (DIDI has one of the worst Customer Services I have ever come across, and it’s simply not worth dealing with them). CHARGING THE CUSTOMER FOR A TOLL THAT THE COMPANY NEVER HAD TO PAY IS FRAUDULENT.
Was charged almost triple for the same trip previously, not only the the clown driver dropped me off at wrong street leaving me to walk 185 metres to my correct destination, did refuses to pay a part refund, avoid this company at all cost
Waited 7-10 mins for the airport. Driver came, we had only one luggage, saw it and he said that it can’t fit in his BYD lol. Wasted our time. Why to use your useless car where it cant even fit a small hand carry luggage. I hope nobody has to go through this nonsense. Total waste of time early morning.

in a pick up point and the driver's p don't show up at that pick up point and when you message them they then show up and Didi charges you for their waiting time when in fact it's the driver's fault and not yours. Even when you explain to Didi they pay no heed and don't reimburse you because they have your account so it's easy for them to take the money. Their drivers don't know the lay of the land and ask me as the customer what road to take etc. Their drivers are on their phones having personal conversations instead of concentrating on their driving. I have waited long time for the drivers to show up and when it's critical to be on time for medical appointments they are delaying by stopping for personal errands. When you cancel over the phone by speaking to the driver because you have missed your appointment, Didi hits you with a cancellation fee when you were not at fault. This company is all about making money and not about service and performance. I would suggest that you do not use them even though you think they are reasonably priced, they hit you with the other charges. Besides, they will not investigate from their end. Terrible company and definitely not recommended.
Follow-up · I used ridesshares constantly as I dont drive - consistently nearly 3 times a week. I have now switched to Uber and although it's a tad bit more expensive, it's reliable besides you can also reserve a ride. Payment is via a credit card that is allocated to this service.
The driver arrived late, causing me to lose 30 minutes of paid work time, which equates to a $37.50 loss at my rate of $75/hour. Despite the ride being marked as “Express,” the driver refused to take the tollway, even after I explicitly requested… Read more
it. Shockingly, he still charged me a toll fee without using the toll route.
When I insisted on the fastest route, the driver replied with “Not my problem. I don’t know you,” showing blatant disregard for both professionalism and passenger safety.
His belligerent behavior and refusal to accommodate reasonable requests made the experience extremely stressful and unacceptable.
Follow-up · Didi even weeks later never bothered to respond. I will continue to warn consumers to go elsewhere than put up with Didi’s poor customer service

drivers arrive promptly (as do Uber) but we are now reluctant to use Didi because of the integrity of their drivers, not withstanding the fact that Didi provides good value in most cases. We took a total of at least 12 rides and only 1 driver was honest enough to reflect the correct fare! As a rule, we do not book our ride (whether Didi or Uber or taxi) until we are at the waiting location because we know that these drivers come quickly. So, all the time, we wait for our rides (drivers don't wait for us) but sadly these drivers will add a fee for "waiting time"! It looks like a syndicate and Didi must be aware because everytime we complain, we will get a refund for the "waiting time" fee. Didi should act and not turn a blind eye to this kind of dishonest behaviour!
Follow-up · They refunded all except the last claim which was almost $8 for "waiting fee" saying that we had made to many claims. We claim what we have been unfairly charged - nothing more, nothing less. Still they refused, so our credit card covered the claim and we left it to them to challenge Didi. It is no fun, having to make calls everytime to claim for… Read more

I had a fantastic ride with Abdi (FLM16E) 18/12/2025. The car was spotless and very comfortable. He was punctual and went above and beyond by lifting my heavy luggage in and out of the boot for me. A true gentleman and a great Aussie spirit. Highly recommend!"
Flexible job – As an uber and didi driver, i like the fact that Didi shows me the exact pickup adress and drop off adress of the passenger as well as the trip distance and fare before accepting the trip, i also like the idea that this feature is available to all driver tiers (silver, gold, platinum and diamond), so no matter how many jobs you decline you don't… Read more
lose this privilege, however didi pays significantly less than uber, his tech team should work on the app to make it give the job to the closest available didi driver, as most didi pickups are too far and most of the time the rider ends up cancelling before the driver arrives due to the long ETA which is very frustrating and inconvenient.
Didi Driver – So far, I have not encountered many of the below issues and have found earnings (during trail blazer challenges) much better than Uber. The app itself is a bit of a throw back with less advanced mapping and heat mapping. Most of the passengers have been ok. I will keep an eye out for the long distance fare issue cited but have yet to encounter it.

Would give a minus if I could. Had a nasty incident with a driver. I requested a drive to the Passport Office as I needed an urgent passport to fly out to see my dad who only has a few days to live. there. My house number is clearly displayed on my letter box and yet she sat at the wrong house. I had to call to find out where she was. She turned the car around. I got in the car and the fare of $78 became $92 from what I saw. I asked her how that could be since we hadn't started the trip. Her answer was because she was here and she had to wait. I wasn't going to pay for her mistake. She was rude, unprofessional, called me st^pid and an id*ot. I asked her to stop and let me out. She screamed and I meant SCREAMED, "Get out, GET OUT". I got out saying I'd let Didi know. I was not even 1 minute away from the pick up address. She charged me $20 and lodged an incident report against ME, with Didi responding that the driver was at risk, without knowing the facts. The driver only raised a report because she knew that I would complain and that she had done wrong. She had to cover herself to keep her job. I wasn't confident that she'd drive me safely to my destination. She couldn't even get the pick up address right, was rude, soooo aggressive. She shouldn't be on the road. On the other hand I booked another driver and booked a return trip too from Surry Hills. Both drivers were amazing. Didi has agreed to refund the overcharge of $20. But the driver needs to be disciplined. All riders need to feel safe and respected and drivers should acknowledge their mistakes and take accountability and not shift the blame onto the rider. I would be more than happy to provide the name and rego number if needed.
Have spent 3 weeks trying to get my licence accepted. The same response 'we apologise for the delay, we are working on it'..... or 'we will resolve it within 24 hours'.... it has been 3 weeks!!! It has been at least 14 phone calls!!!! It has been at least 50+ messages. I have yet to encounter a more atrocious organisation.

Hi DiDi, I would like to make a few complaints about the Driver App. I have been driving with the DiDi app since it launched here in Perth WA, and completed more than 4800 trips. need to take a break. The truth is that I do take several rest breaks throughout my day, and this notification is wrong. I find it repetitive and unnecessary, and it's just so wrong!! In recent months the app has started using "siri" to broadcast a message, "You are about to arrive and the pickup address, please find a safe place to park", and another one after I pick up the passenger and start the trip. At this point in time, I may be talking to the passenger to say hello, establish their identity and confirm the destination. I find this verbal dialogue on the app to be both distracting and conflicting and would like to see it removed. "INTERACTION WITH THE APP" -- There is also way too much interaction with the app required from me, drivers are not supposed to be touching the phone, and could face an eminent fine, loss of points, or suspension of license for doing so. "STAR REATING" -- With reference to me having to rate every passenger via a survey at the end of each trip, the Didi app should for all intents and purposes, automatically give each passenger 5 stars. If for any reason a driver WANTS to rate a rider lower than 5 stars, then that should be when the driver finds a safe place to park, and then complete the survey. "POP UP" -- At the end of each trip, a pop-up appears asking how the navigation on the app is performing, all so unnecessary, requires me to look down at my phone and touch it. It's a dangerous distraction. "TRIP LOBBY"-- While I am driving around without a passenger, I may get a trip notification, but sometimes the trip goes into the trip lobby. This is another dangerous distraction that requires me to look down and touch my phone, and could quite easily lead to an accident, fine and loss of points. "PIN NUMBER" -- recently the app is requiring a rider PIN before starting a trip. Many passengers do not know theirs, or where to find it, its needs to be in a more prominent location on the app. This leads to delays in moving from the pickup point. Also requires more interaction with the Phone from the driver. There are very many safety concerns with using the DiDi app that need to be addressed as soon as possible. Regards Don L.

Really Didi Australia. This is how your drivers behave and talk. We have a strong reason to conclude that the behaviour was due to our race and background.
Australia doesn’t have slaves or class system for citizens so why is your driver - [Name Removed] treating passengers like this.
With every year these companies become increasingly useless. They make you wait more than the suggested time and when you believe they have arrived to pick you up. They cancel on you. Thats terrible customer service.
I was charged a Waiting Time Fee when I was already at the pickup location. This has happened many times before. Drivers seem to be abusing this function or at lease taking advantage of it. It's become all too frequent now when riding Didi.

I had a shocking experience with a Didi driver that I need to share. My 5-year-old and I had to take a short 3-5 minute cab ride from my local Library to home due to the pouring rain. didn’t offer any help, which I found really rude. Once we got in, I tried to opnt the window as the car was stuffy and I am claustrophobic. The driver rudely told me to close it, and when requested if it could stay open just a little for air, he refused and locked the windows using his main controls. When I told him it can make me nauseus he told us to get out of the car which I could not do given the weather condition and my child already strapped in. I felt trapped . He told us to “suck it up” since it was just a 5-minute ride.
When we finally reached our destination He continued mumbling and shouting. I rushed off to get my child inside, away from the rain, and told him I’d be lodging a complaint. Once I lodged a complaint instead of resolving the matter DiDi hit me with $50 charge for supposedly leaving the car messy, which is absurd. The driver blatantly lied, and Didi customer service hasn’t been helpful at all in resolving this. I sent a detailed complaint explaing the the whole situation in detail now no response from DIDI it has been more than 36 Hours now. This incident not only left a bad experience it has also traumatised my child.
My child was scared and told me never to book with the “scary shouting driver” again. I’ve had bad experiences with Didi before but never complained until now. This time, it was too much. I plan to file a police report for harassment and theft of $50 without proof, and I’ll be contacting the fair ombudsman.
I also found out DIDI has no physical presence in Australia where you can call and speak to a person all addresses that show up on google are shut down or dont exist the telephone numbers alll diconnected. the drivers operate as sole traders and contractors. DiDI Im guessing is not doing proper checks on who they are giving the contracts too.... For the bizare thing is that DIDI as an Entity Does not exist
DRIVER name Sunny Taxi number 1HLX137
If anyone else has had similar issues, please reach out. I’m putting this out on social media to shed light on this policy that seems to rip off customers and reward rude drivers. Didi, please get in touch to resolve this as I originally requested.

Didi may benefit to track some data on how much drivers make from cancellations/ "I can't find you" then hang up. Oh hang on, why would they care, they make money from not providing a service too.
Viewing a DiDi Driver, heading south on the Kwinana Fwy, Perth, on 01/06/25 @ about 2pm: weaving in & out of traffic, up to 120kmh & tailgating; limit 100kmh. I have evidence but I don’t know how to report the driver since it wasn’t arranged by me.
I drive DiDi and it’s a very shity application. They don’t care about the drivers. They have worst customer service a person can expect. Unfit senior management that includes the executive director level. Lack common sense on how to manage a business. Money hungry people who lack the basic communication skills. Etc….. so much more to say. I wish I could teach them a few things.
Drivers are exploiting the customers by driving loops forcing customers to cancel the fare imposing cancellation fees. The devs are hopeless and I'm sure they have bots automating generic responses when posting reviews on the Apple store. How the hell are these drivers maintaining 5 star reviews, an absolute scam of a an app with no accountability from the drivers or the app.
