Useless unless you pay for cloud storage – I received one of these free with a router but it's useless unless you pay $$ per month for cloud storage. It's going into the bin. If you are inclined to pay for cloud storage it might be ok but this device is just to get you paying for it.

Cam with adequate functions but poor reliability – I bought 4 of these approximately 4 years ago. Setup was hit and miss, requiring an ethernet cable (which you may leave attached for a fixed connection or remove for wireless). Video quality is barely adequate for monitoring purposes - you certainly won't be getting anything close to HD resolution nor would you be able to pick up the fine details in any video. The greatest gripe for me though is the poor durability of these units. As stated earlier, I installed 4 of these in my home about 4 years but only 1 now still works. The other 3, at various times, just stopped working and no amount of hard resetting would revive them - very poor durability and definitely a very high rate of failure. I've now started using another brand of cameras.

terrible software and no support – Camera works reliably and image is quite good. However, changing any settings on the camera requires the use of the Dlink portal with a computer which does not work 95% of the time. dlink website with a computer. I spent hours trying to connect through their website. Many similar reports on the net. Won't be buying another dlink camera.

Won't connect – Gave up trying to install this camera after trying to connect it manually numerous times. Follow the online instructions but the iOS App just can't see the camera when trying to set up. How hard can it be to create software that just works after being in market for so long? Suggest buying something different.

Wifi Does not work and no support – Bought this camera last week and been trying to make it up and running but no luck. the wifi does not work and the light does not get green . tried contacting the costumer service several times but no answer to emails and 20 minutes waiting on the phone.

Mixed feelings about this – I have been using this at work and home for 6 months now... Yes- it is easy to install, and yes you can view the video feed online or off your phone or tablet... No - the instructions and tech support are not that freindly and I am annoyed at how often they upgrade the firmware and require javascript upgrades. No I wont be continuing with this long term as it is too tedious to use.

Amazing camera at an amazing price – I was at first very skeptical at first and after installing it very relieved and very happy. The price is fantastic and does the job well and the view is amazing. I am impressed indeed. Now I can simply log in at 3.15 to 3.20pm and see my kids have arrived home safe and well from school. Thanks D-Link ease of connenction and use

the set up instructions on disk and completed the installation easily. I can view at a glance from my computer using D-Link as the host on the internet and I can monitor all activity. I can also set up an alert for when there is movement in the grid within the advanced set up of the camera configuration. Audio is also available so you can even listen to what you are watching or monitoring.

There is also an iTunes application for the iPad and iPhone of which I have downloaded, and I can instantly see and monitor what is going on from there too.

I love this device so much, I am getting another one for the back yard. Easy to use surveillance monitor that has great video and is affordable.
