I had never tried drive my car and stumbled onto it as I needed a car for a family holiday in WA. I was slightly concerned but it worked perfectly. Mark was a great host and met me at my rented accommodation, explaining everything about the car and he picked it up at my preferred destination. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the process

Do NOT use this company
This organisation is completely unreputable and secretive. I have tried to rent a vehicle for the summer break however today (the day before the booking). I was told firstly that they could not verify my drivers licence and that I should check with my licence provider to see if I was currently suspended from driving. Needless to say there are no issues with my drivers licence. They then claimed that I "did not meet the verification threshold". I've asked for them to explain the threshold numerous times with no response.
Throughout the process,...they asked for copies of my passport and other sensitive documents via emial which is highly insecure compared to a secure online portal that they should be using for these kinds of documents. I've tried calling and live chat to resolve this issue. When I asked to speak to a supervisor on the phone, I was laughed at then hung up on. I have massive concerns with the privacy and security of my information with this company and have written to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to complain about their alignment with the privacy principles and their use of third party verification providers. I strongly recommend that you do not use this organisation.
I rented my car out while overseas
They were excellent throughout the process, from inspection of the vehicle to communication while I was overseas. A mall issue occurred with the vehicle, which they fixed completely at no cost to myself. I can highly recommend the service.

At first glance they seem to have a good range of cars at great prices.
When I tried to book cars, the bookings were cancelled twice! After the first cancellation I wrote to them asking them why and asking them to take the car off their site, if it is not available. They responded promptly to my queries, but wouldn't give me any real reason, other than it must be unavailable and encouraging me to try another car. Both the cars I tried to book are still showing as available for my dates and still come up as the first options in my search. In order to save their own reputation they need to take the cars off their site if the owners are turning down bookings. I'm wondering if they actually have any of these cars available?

The team from sales, service, fleet, accounts and operations have been fantastic to deal with and always accomodating to my business needs. The vehicle choices, options and preference was always catered for my needs. Due to different circumstances and business changes the team were always very helpful and allowed me sufficient notice for servicing, changeover, handover, swapping and courtesy vehicle arrangements. The whole team have been part of my business and essentially understood what I needed and when. Richard and Stephen in particular are a delight to deal with and are both very experienced and knowledgeable of vehicle types, financing and vehicle types. Well done and thank you.

Convenient Car Hire
Ive been with DriveMyCar for almost 3 years now and overall the vehicles and customer service has been great. Only issue is the accounts department which has charged the wrong accounts on numerous times, and blame the system for not properly removing accounts, as requested. Accounts definitely needs to be improved to not feel like an offshore processing department.
Would also be great to have more new cars to hire from manufacturers as previously available from Subaru and Peugeot. Manufacturer promo deals have disappeared for over 12 months now. Disappointed.

I rented a car on a long term lease for Uber with DriveMyCar because not only did they have the best price of all the companies, but they had the warmest, most patient customer service over the phone. I like that I have had the same person looking after me all the time for the last two years, and the service is not only personalised, but fast and responsive - and not through an offshore call centre. Changing cars has been easy and bonds have been refunded quickly. Nothing is a hassle for them. I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

You get a better car for your spend...and good service
For my Australian home visits I have used Drivemycar 3 times now...and would definitely use them again where I need a car for 7 plus days. Steven has handled my bookings every time, and has helped make it smooth, as I had some trouble booking online. Main benefit is you get better car for your spend compared to booking through normal rental companies..works especially well for road trips where you need good luggage space. It's a good way to save money if you are OK with car pickup on weekdays during office hours...though you can pay more for...pickup near airport. I normally go for one of the fleet company cars which are convenient to pickup...and i've always found the service to be professional, and deposit is returns in a timely manner. thanks again

This is a fantastic company and service. I can rent a great car for less than half an average car via the big guys. Perfect for holiday makers. You may not get your first choice but I usually do. Service level is excellent and personal. Highly recommended.

Hi andrew, yes, sometimes cars can be booked or not available. Better call them to help you for first booking... rest once you get used to it then you should be fine with it i have booked almost 5 times till now...
