Brand new unit faulty within days of install – Poor service, waiting weeks and still unresolved. Posted review on Electrolux website, but they removed. Don’t seem to take customer service seriously, send you to a repair person, not in house (here in New Zealand). Have to wait on parts, no offer of a replacement etc. Given this is a brand new product, service is very low.  Show details

Works very well – This is our second induction cooktop, and it performs extremely well. We actually have the 70cm version, but it is functionally the same. took one star off my rating not because of the cooktop's performance, but because of the controls. They're a bit fiddly to use and it often takes a bit of fiddling to select the desired cooking level.

Also the "auto" setting (where the zone goes to full power for a period and then drops back to your pre-assigned lower power level) is pretty much useless. The auto function is not thermostatically controlled, so the cooktop just goes to full power for about 10 minutes and then drops back, meaning that the pan gets WAY too hot for any sort of cooking.

Otherwise though this cooktop is great.

This cooktop rocks – Just replaced our ceramic cooktop with the Electrolux. This cooktop is unreal. Really fast to heat the pan especially on boost mode. The controls are really sensitive and actually make a difference when you increase or decrease settings. Excellent control over heat. Has boost on all sections which not all do. height of 5 cm or less onto the cloth-covered top, and it created a huge crack!

The glass bowl survived without a scratch and the cooker top cracked and broke?? Being careful is one matter but being paranoid and tipping around egg shells is another matter. Our Electrolux induction hob is such a disappointment and we highly recommend buyers to consider this critical issue when shopping for an induction cooker hob. Ask the tough questions of how easily it can break/crack and the cost of replacing. It is our nightmare now and still being under warranty wouldn't help us out there... :(
